How are shows from behind the stage?

Had them at one of the 2013 Barclays shows. Absolutely positively better than not being at the show of course. That said, while the visuals were pretty good, I did find the sound to be a bit lacking. The other thing is, my section was full of what must have been dead people. Some literally sat through the whole show!0

Had seats in section 112 for MSG 2 in 2003... first time behind the stage. Had a great time!ajgdrums7814 said:Got 4 in Section 112 for MSG2. Anyone with experience in that section?

They had them at denver 2014 and it was actually the clearest sound at an arena I think I've ever experienced. And the view really isn't bad, they are very good at acknowledging the folks in back and making them feel as much a part of the crowd as anyone else.EnjoyBeing said:. The key is having speakers face that way. I believe PJ does put them back there.
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."

I was behind the stage at MSG in 2003 and it was great ! The fact that a dvd later came out of the show made it even better !!0

I was just behind the stage for Bruce at the Garden the other night, 3rd level; had an excellent time and the sound was good.SVRDhand13 said:

I've done two shows from behind the stage and have really enjoyed it. It's pretty cool to get the same view of the crowd that the band does. I wouldn't want to be there for every show but it's not a bad experience at all.9/13/98, 10/4/00, 4/29/03, 6/29/03, 7/2/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 9/15/05, 9/16/05, 5/12/06, 5/13/06, 6/27/08, 6/28/08, 6/30/08, 10/30/09, 10/31/09, 5/15/10, 9/11/11, 9/12/11, 10/19/13, 10/21/13, 10/22/13, 10/25/13, 10/27/13, 9/26/15, 4/28/16, 4/29/16, 8/5/16, 8/7/16, 8/13/18, 9/2/18, 9/4/18, 9/26/21, 9/1/22, 9/2/22, 9/14/22, 9/18/23, 9/19/23, 9/7/24, 9/9/24, 9/12/24, 9/15/24, 9/17/24, 5/16/25, 5/18/250

Don't Sit Up Too High!!
I was behind the stage in Seattle (2013). When you get to a certain height the metal bird and the lighting rigs impede your view. From our vantage point all you could see was eddie when he was in perfect position between the speakers and the metal bird. Everytime the metal bird lowered we didn't even get that. Worst tickets I've ever hard to anything. If you're going to sit behind the stage you need to sit low enough that all the crap doesn't impede your view.
It would probably be pretty good if your in the lower bowl seats or first few rows on the 2nd level. We were around 20 rows up on the 2nd level.. it really sucked.0 -
For MSG night 1....I have the option of either behind the stage in section 216 or in the lowers at the end of the arena in section 103. Which one would you guys suggest?

I've seen PJ twice at MSG. MSG 2 2003 I was lower level, directly across from the stage, on the far side of the arena. Kind of sucked. MSG 2 2010 I was behind the stage. I'll take behind the stage every time over the seats I had in 2003. I'm someone who tends to watch the crowd more than the band during shows, so behind the stage was ideal. You're actually much closer than a lot of other seats, and I felt like my view was almost what the band sees. Looking right over the stage and directly at the GA pit was pretty cool. Sound was also better behind the stage in 2010 than it was in 2003.Post edited by seanwon on1996: 9/29 Randall's Island 2, 10/1 Buffalo 2000: 8/27 Saratoga Springs

I saw The Rolling STones from behind the stage, though i was up high i still enjoyed the show.
I scored right behind the stage for Philly-2 in the lower section and i don't care, as i'm in the building. Actually, looking forward to seeing the show from that view. I know what these Fuckers look like>LOL>so as long as the sound is good, i don't care.
Plus, i think it will be Kool to see the crowd reaction from there too.0 -
Okay, cool thanks marcos!marcos said:

What row.. that sound upper section... if it's above row 10 I would think twice and go with 103.. if it's lower than row 10 it might be so bad....YLed2 said:For MSG night 1....I have the option of either behind the stage in section 216 or in the lowers at the end of the arena in section 103. I did to the back right of the stage in Pittsburgh....Honestly best view and sound ever....Except could not hear Stones guitar...I think it was technical difficulties though.0
