Release / Wash / Long Road / Hard To Imagine/ Of The Girl / Oceans...
and really hoping they are finished with opening practically every show on the tour with Pendulum!!

Add Mind Your Manners to your list of LB mainstays and I think you're on target!!
I sure hope you're right about Pendulum buddy...
I'm fine with getting it every now and then,
but I've attended 11 shows since Lightning Bolt was released & I've already got Pendulum 8 times.
Detroit, Moline & GCF are the only shows on the last 2 US tours that I didn't get it as the opener!!

Which song would you rather they not play at the next show you attend: dte or pendulum to open?

    Dave,
Which song would you rather they not play at the next show you attend: dte or pendulum to open?
    That's a tough one Mike...
I think I'd take DTE at every show if it meant we could get back to those classic openers!!
I don't hate the song, it's one of my favorites on Lightning Bolt,
I just miss the old school openers,
    and in my opinion...
NOTHING should be played before Release at a PJ show, unless it's Metamorphosis 2
Always loved the suspense of not knowing what was going to open the show,
and for a band that made it's name on mixing up the setlist every night...
Pendulum has already been played 36 times and I think it's ALWAYS opened the show!!
I know they've said they can't really find another place to play the song in the set...
but using it to open an encore set would work too!!
Hopefully since they aren't really touring on the album this year,
they'll change up the sets a little more than they have the last few tours.

I can always get down with Release as the opener. Definitely their staple and best opener, and their most power film song. Also my favorite PJ song.

As much as I would love it, not sure if it will happen this go around though, because they opened with it at MSG in '98 and '08 already.

I think this time around they'll open with Long Road and for some reason I think Present Tense. They have never opened MSG with Long Road, and I think Present Tense because they are playing it earlier in the set these days and will be something different for MSG. Plus Present Tense would be a monster sing along at MSG.

Let's just hope Pendulum is put to bed as opener for a while.

The first time they played msg they played long road. 9/10/98. A really underrated show since the next night was so legendary.
Yled2, I don't except mistakes like this coming from you. Drink some coffee or something. ;)

Haha, Dave! I suppose in the grand scheme of things, it's not a terrible problem to have!

I've been lucky enough to see every "normal" opener in the rotation over the years. But Release is one that I'll never tire from. Only got Oceans once, so I'd love to see that again. Either way, I think you'll get a good mixture this coming spring. Have fun at your shows!!

DEFINITELY a good problem to have!!
And like I said, I don't hate the song,
just hoping they will scale it back a bit on this tour :plus_one:
I've got my fair share of the traditional openers too...
    Pendulum - 8X
    Release - 3X
    Small Town - 2X
    Wash - 1X
    Long Road - 1X
    Can't Keep - 1X
    Corduroy - 1X
    Breakerfall - 1X
    Oceans - 1X
    Mind Your Manners - 1X
    Last Exit - 1X

If you consider Pendulum a pre-opener I've got:
    Low Light X2
    Nothingman X2
    Of The Girl X1
    Hard To Imagine X1
    Sometimes X1
    Wash X1

We got Release and Oceans in Detroit...
just an unreal combination for 1 show!!
Hope everyone has a GREAT time on the upcoming tour...
and that we get a better variety of openers than we've got on the past 2 US tours!!
