Listening to the boot for the first time.
No wonder I had to abandon the first few rows... this beginning is to die for. So hard and rocking. Here comes "WWS". Exactly when I decided I was not going to die and went back :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

This show was my third and last show of my Italy trip.

Well first I want to thank Karen B. for selling me her 10c ticket...Since I was not that lucky to get tix through the 10c sale.

We got there and saw many 10c members too from different countries...We even saw two fans with kelts ( I hope I am spelling it right)
Saw lots of Mexicans fans. One with a mask of a wrestler. cool.

this time i was prepared not to get pushed and hurt like in Bologna. I've never seeing a security guard with sunglasses hanging from his shirt while on duty.lol oh well
again PJ security had to regulate this so called security.

My friends and I were standing on stone side but closer to the speakers.lol

From the start this show was going to be magical. The energy was intense. the band was all giving it 100% up on stage.
My highlight were seeing Olivia dance during Daughter...I thought that was such a coincidence. First time seeing the tag "Brick on the Wall"
Eddie was all sentimental during black...He teared....Even I did...my first time this song makes me tear during a live show....it was the way the crowd was singing the toodutututududu part ( i think that's how you spell that) lol...and seeing him so emotional got to me too.

He also dedicated a song to the mother of his bambina. I think it was a Tom Waits song..lol which i thought it was so romantic. Even Jill was tearing. I think they met in Milan. I think that's what Eddie said.

I wanted to hear Education since Verona...but got to hear it on the sound check in Verona...but didn't get that in Milan, however did get "BIG WAVE"...I was so happy...I always like to hear rarerities or bsides. Great to see it live. He was doing this so called dance and acting like he was surfing. fun to watch.lol

This show set list, was great....and very emotional and powerful to see on stage. Thanks PJ for the opportunity to see you abroad...specially in Italy since I've been always wanting to go there since highschool.

Thanks to my friends who share this experience with me and thanks to those people that I met along this journey.

Now back in the US...hoping for the next PJ album/Tour adventure.

Have fun to all that are still waiting for their turn of some PJ Love!
    :)

Wow! you write very well, friend! I couldn't describe better the show!
I had some tears on my face on Black, too..i think everybody in the crowd, singin' so, had tears on its face...it was my first show, it has been a great emotion. i hope it's been the first of a long series.
    Thank you PJ!

Amazing set...loved the cover. Wish it wasnt so rough at the beginning. I had a great spot and opted to give it up as I was tired and sore by the 4-5th song! Still loved it all though!

read your blog all the way through so must have enjoyed doing so... very laconic and easy going. Like the description of milan when looking for the after show party. and man of the hour.

Cheers.... I enjoy doing it... but 7 gigs has become a bit of a chore...
  • I guess you can take your time over it though... don't rush it, I like the pace, kind of relaxed me but managed to give a sense of the madness too!

I know what you mean. I listened to Milan yesterday for the first time since the gig. And I was amazed how actually good it was. I almost forgot the songs they played and I was surprised when I heard them again. I mean....Faithfull, Parachutes, Big Wave, Man of the hour...
The crowd was amazing, although a bit rough at times, especially at the beginning. But that's alright. And the end of Black was out of this world. I remember the band stopped playing their instruments and looked in disbelief into the crowd. And the crowd kept going...tururururu...

  • Has anyone from the milan gigi read the depp magazine yet.

Mike talks about meeting some fans on the roof of the Duomo. Are any of the Norwegian fans that we met there on this board?

yay! One of the best shows i've ever seen. I was listening to it this morning; in fact, disc 2 hasn't been out of my CD player in months. The first encore is just beautiful!

'Go' as an opener was just a kick to the face; couldn't catch my breath because i was so overwhelmed. It doesn't come through on the bootleg but during the 'Don't go on meeeeeeee...' bit the crowd was unbelievably loud. I couldn't actually believe they were so loud one song into the show.

Laxt Exit, Faithful, Man of the Hour, MFC...all welcome additions to the set, and it was my first time seeing all of them live too! Man of the Hour mid-set calmed everyone down and set a beautiful mood for a few mins.

There isn't anything to say about 'Black' that hasn't already been said before....it was perfect.

Met some great people in the 10c queue who i'd meet again during the 2007 tour. All in all, it was a phenomenal finish to the tour for me!

September's been a busy month in the past 2 years, gotta lots of boot to listen to ;)

    great show
..though the only one I ever did on my own (no 10c ticket, seat..on my own on the side, great spot but ..on my own :(..could see my friends having a very rough time in the pit, and couldn't help them out)..so not in the top probably partly because of that :(
