Interesting. When they opened up a 2nd amsterdam show in 2014 I think it was only on Ticketmaster exclusively right? Anyone have ANY insight on how this might work for 10c or for GA when adding a 2nd show?

Manchester show 2 in 2012 was put on sale after the first show sold out at about 12pm on the same day. From memory the PJ homepage only announced the second show in the late afternoon or evening even though ticketmaster had the tickets on sale.

Damn! No wonder the Toronto Maple Leafs are cursed. God's way of saying FU for charging the highest priced seats in the NHL. http://www.forbes.com/pictures/fjlg45mhf/1-toronto-maple-leafs-avg-price-368-60/

If they already have the date reserved I wonder why they wouldn't let everyone know about it now instead of waiting. People have to make travel plans and hotel reservations. It doesn't make much sense but I do hope this is true.

Because they want that 1st show sold out first. If it somehow struggles to sell tickets, then they 2nd show wont happen. (or maybe it will, but they just want to ensure the first one gets sold out anyway)

I figured they were gonna do Hamilton in August in lieu of a 2nd toronto show, but they could probably easily sell all 3.

It has more to do with populating the Quebec City & Ottawa arenas during the initial demand.

Well, Muse was able to get two shows in both Montreal and Quebec City so hopefully that will bold well for Pearl Jam ticket sales. I mean, say what you will about Muse, but I'd still like to think PJ is a bigger draw.

If anyone gets an extra 10c pair to the 2nd show and wants to swap tix for the first night let me know.

Or an extra TM pair of decent seats I would be interested.

I can confirm the 2nd show.... Here is their prompt response for a suite request.
    Hi,

    Thanks for your email.

We will only be selling second show suites - they are $6500 plus tax for 12 tickets on the 200 level. Suites can hold up to 20.

Please let me know if that works and I will add you to the waiting list.

    Thanks,

I have seen other bands announce a 2nd show during the actual onsale if the first show sells out quickly. If that is the case I guess there would be no 10c lottery.

Hopefully 10c gives priority to those who got shut out of the first one. I just hope it doesn't become a ticketmaster only show.

Maybe 10club will announce with the next wave of dates? This isn't something that could just show up on TM Friday, right? As they don't sell GA pit I thought.

It's been a while but I think extra shows have suddenly turned up on ticketmaster in the past. I am almost positive it happened for U2 in 2005 but since that occurred over a decade ago it isn't worth mentioning (but I'll mention it anyway).

Whatever the case, I'll be keeping my eye on ticketmaster at noon on Friday. One Pearl Jam show will be epic but back-to-back Pearl Jam shows in the same venue (something that I've never done before, mind you) will be.....what's bigger than epic????

I've seen this happen many times over the years especially with a high demand show. I just wish it will be a formal announcement with the chance to get ten club tix.

As well, Ottawa and Quebec will sell out no problem also.

Fuck, y'all. I hope it isn't true, cuz I won't be able to attend the 2nd one, but I'll probably try to figure out a way to do it, and then regret not doing it. Just let me have my one show and be happy!

Did the new/2nd show usually go on sale right away?

I made the mistake of not attending N2 in 2011 (I didn't know as much about PJ concert dynamics as I do now). Man did I regret it when I looked at the setlist the next day.
