I am really confused - is this a freakin joke????

We're bickering about who wears backpacks.
We're bitching about what was and wasn't said in a newsletter.
    We're considering quilts and snuggies.

    I'll pass on the snuggie.
But quilts sound like a million dollar idea.
But the million dollar question is:
Hang and display the quilt or use the quilt?
    Use it.
    Definitely use it.
I would too. Unfortunately, so would our cats and the thing would probably be trashed after a few productive sessions of their "makin' biscuits".

Can't see spending $200-ish for the Tool quilt but if I did? The husband would be like a puppy getting his belly rubbed.

Bet you can load up lots of stickers and pins in the backpack... Probably more money in the those stickers than the cost of the backpack. My 5 yo son loves stickers. Most adults that are not PJ fans I'm not so sure.

Does anyone remember how long the Patagonia PJ20 backpack remained in shop? Wanting to know about how much time there will be to make a decision.

I remember buying it immediately and it it selling out a few hours. Definitely sold out faster than this backpack

Yeah I am almost positive it sold out same day. The emails were not reliable back then; the backpacks were announced in the email about PJ20 playing in theaters that day... I remember people going out to see the movie, coming home, and being mad they just found out about this legendary backpack that was already sold out. Like 6 hours maybe? Both bags still available at the end of the day... so it's got that going for it. :)

I have no problem with backpacks... but this backpack is built for outdoor use, not urban businessmen or travelers... but again this is America, where people buy $50,000 SUV's and the tires never leave asphalt lol

crikey I have used the pj20 backpack a lot, and despite my wife having no time for PJ or my ridiculous habit, she hasn't walked out yet......Backpacks out here in the Uk are not at all uncommon.

Are we really debating if a backpack is a useful item?

    The answer seems pretty obvious.

a suitcase seems a bit excessive but what do i know. a small travel bag would be good for a night.

For the record, so people understand me clearly, because conversation on the internet fucking blows

When I travel, 99% of the time I use a travel bag, hence the term "travel bag"... but who gives a fuck how the next guy travels? I sure dont

    Backpacks are very useful...
This is a large durable backpack designed for outdoor use...
I assume that this backpack is not convenient for day-to-day use....That is an assumption
This appears to be a good item for a roadtrip...
I have no issue with them selling a backpack, it's better than most of the stuff
Buy what you want, use it for what you want... seriously, who gives a shit?

Speedy made a point... people jumped down his throat as if everyone walks around with backpacks daily... I think there is middle ground

Now how about we discuss rock music and not products with "Pearl Jam" stitched on it... novel idea, I know

When I go to NYC I see guys walking around with backpacks... what the hell are they carrying around with them that they need so bad? I carry my phone, my wallet, my keys... seriously, wtf are people lugging around with them on a normal work day?

Outdoors, I totally get it... but normal every day life, what the hell am I carrying around? I saw guys at Wrigley with PJ20 backpacks, in the show!?! WTF do I need a backpack for at a concert? I also see them in parking lots for shows, walking around with a backpack and tube stuck on it, and I always think they are just trying to look cool because all I have is my phone, ticket, beer, and a joint or two lol

A lot of people I work with bring in backpacks every day. They use them to carry their workout gear because my job allows us time to use the gym while we're working. And then there are the really health conscious people who bring in all their pre prepared meals with them and carry them in the backpack.

I do however work with one guy who brings in all his workout gear everyday in a just a plastic grocery bag.

This is just practice for people bitching about the upcoming lottery, or not selling tickets on the site anymore, or tour dates, or cities not being played, or the cities that are being played, or not enough weekend dates, or northeast always getting shows, or northeast not getting enough shows, or not enough southern shows, or the merch trucks, or not enough merch at shows, or the poster artists, or not enough time to pick shows, or not all the shows being announced at once.....
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

because someone suggested that adults don't use backpacks. i'm not sure whats more absurd: the suggestion or the reaction to the suggestion...

I would not buy a PJ travel bag either... my $50 bag from target works just fine!

I'm not a huge merch guy by nature... but I will always like gig posters from shows i attend, and i like the stickers as well... I would buy the shirts if they fit me (I'm a big guy)... probably because those are not just products, they actually celebrate the concerts & the music

Put a 45 box or slip mat in the store though, actual music related merchandise, and I will scoop it up quick

This doesn't mean I judge or think i am better than people who buy or collect the stuff... we all have our different interests and that is a good thing... some of the items are cool and I have a few, but that's few and far between

what I think it really boils down to, in my opinion, the only cool merchandise associated with a rock band is shirts, gig posters, stickers, etc... everything else seems corny to me, and disconnected... what does rock music have to do with dog collars and handbags?

    I've been on many a bike....Never used a backpack
