Are the Americans helping the Canadian teams win in the playoffs, are they ass hats too? White Americans as well… I wonder what party they and their families usually support… Just saying, hoping for peace with our polite neighbors.
    What a weird comment.
Totally out of left field. Par for the course. What does this have to do with hockey? I for one was against the booing of the US anthem- it’s logically pretty stupid, given how many Americans are on the tram you cheer for. But whatever. Dividers gotta divide.

Got a great money making idea for you. Come down to Dallas for the weekend , nice red state. Meet lots of peeps, share your thoughts, convince a few to vote dem, and who knows, maybe Vance loses in 2028. But here’s the kicker. Go to the game and afterwards download the CBP app and tell them you are here illegally. They’ll pay you a cool thousand bucks usd to go back! Win, win, hopefully, if that possibly great US goalie shows up!

I know it’s allowed, but I don’t like it, no matter who does it. It’s shady. You can’t win your own riding when going for PM? Your political career is over. I hope he loses that bi-election. Unlikely, since they always pick the safest seat in these situations, but it would be hilarious if it happened.

Don’t worry, the longest ballot fools are showing their partisan colours by pledging to run their operation for the byelection.

It’s strange, because they claim they’re protesting an abandoned promise by Trudeau, wouldn’t it make actual sense to target Liberals?

Gotta love all the laughter here at others pain.

You’re really losing your marbles trying to trigger me/other Canadians. It’s getting sad.

Helle is a fantastic goalie. Oh shit! YOU’RE RIGHT! He IS American! Now I don’t think I can cheer for my own team!! It has enemy players on it! /s

    Your trolling attempts are pathetic.

Here’s hoping that putting someone with zero legislative and political experience doesn’t backfire on us as Carney meets Trump today.

Hopefully he’ll fare better than the snowboard instructor and failed teacher he was anointed to replace.

So what did Mr. Poilievre accomplish in his 20 years of service? Anything significant?

I think Mr. Singh did  more with less in his time there.

How else to describe the leadership race that put a complete political rookie in the top job in the country? Do we know how many underage Chinese nationals voted in that process?

It was nice that he was able to dodge the longest ballot tools and, yes, was finally democratically elected. It’s going to be very interesting observing how the rookie navigates his minority mandate. More “confidence-and-supply”?

Did they shred the ballots right away like in the Poilievre/Bernier leadership race. Found out later the numbers didn’t add up…

I mean....  if we're tossing out phrases like "political rookie" ... Conservative types... yourself possibly included... need to start focusing more on their own problems and not the liberals.

A "political rookie" came in and beat a man who has around 20 years experience.

That fellow with 20 years of political experience somehow managed to lose what should have been the easiest election EVER. Full stop.

And from what I'm hearing and seeing on the news, at work, and from friends and family is extremely similar. No one liked the guy. He ran a campaign on essentially being an asshole. (A method that worked for Trump, thus the comparisons.) I can dissect that for days but it really does boil down to that. He didn't see that coming?!!? NO ONE in the Conservative campaign saw that coming? Do they not know and understand Canadians?

I asked a close friend of mine who is hardcore conservative and anti liberal after the election....  "Hey, do you think conservatives learned anything from this?"   His response: "I don't know will old baby boomer Canadians learn from this mistake"   So... no. No he did not. This is a 46 year old man.

Also.. the longest ballot thing, while stupid, had nothing... zero... ziltch to do with an election loss. Nothing. Any Conservative that even sniffs at that is incapable of seeing the forest through the trees here.

The fact that conservatives are going back to the Pierre well is next level dumb.

Canadian Conservatives in general... are like a pro football team that fumbles 5 times, tosses 6 interceptions, takes 100 yards in dumb penalties... obviously loses the game... and blames it on the refs. And if publications like the Sun and Rebel News are also blaming the refs... they may want to find a new source of information.

Mark Carney fact checks Donald Trump:

Trump: “We don’t do much business with Canada.”

Carney: “Respectfully, we are the largest client of the United States.”

Couldn't he have workmore with his East Indian community to prevent fentanyl and the resulting deaths of primarily Canadian Caucasians and disproportionate number of Indigenous folk?

I'm becoming racist pretty quick since East Indians supply the fentanyl in my city.

He probably could have done more, but I think all politicians of every stripe (local, provincial, federal)should be aiming to crack down on the fentanyl crisis. The one silver lining of Trumps rise is that we will get a stronger border which I think may benefit us.

the items Singh pushed( ie: dental care)which the Liberals took credit for were more than the Conservatives helped with.

Ultimately I would like to see all parties working together, not trying to own the other.

i know it is naive of me

I don't really follow politics too terribly well but even I knew that was an NDP promoting dental care for all especially the poor that aren't covered. Seems okay if the liberals took credit because they had to pass it ultimately?

I don't know about this ownership of one another but I agree It's great when people work together. I guess a minority government helps people work across party lines.
