lets gather our current intel... might need to double check those hotel reservations w/ adjoining rooms before shit gets real
we have a leaked list of dates... source is unknown... discussed at length we have sources of sources @ Wells Fargo Philly who conforms a hold we have our boy SVRDhand13's source @ Barclays who confirms a hold we have sources of sources @ Tampa who confirms a hold & onsale date of early December we have seating charts popping up for some of the rumored dates... I forget which ones? we have radio stations in London, Ontario confirming Toronto... but is that coming from here? lol we have a report in french from Quebec that confirms that show (brand new venue by the way) we have a reminder in the 10/10 newsletter we have a follow up reminder on 10/24, exactly 2 weeks later Latin American tour runs 11/4-11/28
I think its safe to assume there will be an official countdown/rollout including radio announcements before the announcement
the early December date definitely works with the tour ending on Saturday 11/28... announce the week of 11/30-12/4 or 12/7-12/11... BUT, would they send out tweets and reminders that far in advance? I would tend to think not but perhaps they have found that they see a bump in 10c memberships when tours are imminent so they want to maximize it? would they have a ticket sale while on tour on another continent?
when it all boils down, the only thing I give a shit about is that Friday night Philly date. If i am on life support, wheel me into the venue
Believe me that thought occurred to me. However if they are all leaving from their home of seattle I highly doubt they are flying cross country to catch a connecting flight. Seattle to LA or to Houston would make way more sense.
Definitely could've been in ATL for another reason. I was just throwing out that option. And plane routes don't always make much sense. There are routes from Seattle to South America that go through Miami.
What I do know is that I really want that rumored Nashville date to be true

From my understanding, MSG has a large fee (something like 25% of ticket sales) that needs to be paid to the venue but Barclays does not (they just have a reserve amount).
Pure speculation on my part but I'm really starting to believe we could be getting a new record this spring! The extensive touring that is rumored for next year only makes sense after a new record comes out. Not 3 years after their last record came out. This and now reports of the guys catching flights out of Atlanta to head to south America. Why Atlanta? What are they doing there? We all know they have done a lot of recording in Atlanta over the years with Brendan o' brien. They mixed backspacer there. Could they be mixing another record there???
Man, you cannot plant this stuff in my head.....I will believe it !! lol.
Surprise record, multiple leg tour of 20 + shows each. A destination weekend. All announced at once...I can see it now, it's going to happen. That's what the wait is for.....
If they could pull it off at this point in their career and shock us all, it would definitely leave a lasting buzz in the air

A dream announcement in early December : pearl jam is proud to announce "_ _" the title of their new album to be released this spring. Followed by east coast tour dates in the spring. Followed by Europe tour dates in late June and early July. Followed by dates at Fenway, Wrigley, Red Rocks, LA Forum, and the Gorge in mid/late August.
I think we all could settle for this! This wouldn't be asking too much would it?

Or it could be that Atlanta is a major hub for international travel, especially when going to S.A.

Not if you're flying on Delta.
LAX and Houston are United/Star Alliance hubs.
If you prefer to fly Delta, you be going through Atlanta. last time they went to south america it was through Dallas - don't ask me where I saw that tidbit of info, but I remember it... I guess they used to fly American, but post merger they are SkyTeam aficionados.... so I guess PJ likes to collect their SkyMiles.

Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

so how do we know they flew out of Atlanta? and why do we know that, who is stalking these poor guys? lol
Nobody is stalking. A fellow fan that was flying to south America for the shows was on the same flight with Ed. The flight was out of Atlanta. Boom was also spotted at the Atlanta airport.

If it's a rule to never wear a shirt of the band you're going to see, shouldn't there be a rule about wearing a shirt of you?
how come every time i get on a plane in coach i sit next to some old lady who wants to talk about her job or her cats, or some guy who spends the full flight moving around trying to get comfortable? someone on that flight gets to sit next to eddie vedder. fuckers.
and i would wait until we were off the plane to take his picture. i wouldn't take it from like 5 rows away. let the man be.

He was wearing a shirt that had his NAME on it. I think that's fair game for picture taking. I think that's awesome he was wearing his own shirt by the way. That rule about not wearing the shirt of the band you're seeing is stupid and you'll notice the majority of Pearl Jam fans don't follow it. I probably saw about 200+ unique PJ shirt designs at Wrigley...

I thought it was a little amusing that he was wearing a shirt with his name on it. Gone are the days of traveling with a mask on to seek anonymity. I love that he wore it but agree that people should just absorb the moment and quit snapping pics. Let him be.

With the inflated fee, perhaps they could negotiate with MSG for more 10c tix like they did in 2003... and 2 of the spectrum 09 shows as well... i assume it helps when they aren't livenation/ticketmaster affiliated venues
I think I remember Ed saying there were 7,000 or 8,000 10c members at each show in 2003... that's almost 50% of the venue?
