Wouldn't shock me. I'm relatively new to posting in the forums, but I've read them for a long time. I've noticed there are some users who only post in the AMT forum about things of political nature. No posts about Pearl Jam, or concerts they have been to, or the music. Nothing. Seems strange if someone is such a fan of the band they joined the Fan Club, yet never mention the band or share any memories or stories from shows, or opinions about the music.
Meh, I don't post over in other forums very much. My sun doesn't rise and set on all things Pearl Jam and most other forums are a bore. I only have the time for AMT.
Maybe some of us are just political junkies, I know I am.
It's very clear in big bold font the category that AMT falls under is NON PEARL JAM DISCUSSION.
My suggestion is to leave... that certain band,s name and any reference to it... out of discussions here on AMT. I learned that early on by making reference to (I will paraphrase the song title so as to protect myself, LOL) the song "Universal Global Self-Inflicted Death".

I'll take song titles, Alex, for $300.

Because if I post too many things about PJ, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will dock my internet pay. I need to keep my billable posts up.
For the record, I've no problem mentioning PJ when and where I want. Sometimes (haha) it/they/their music fits within a discussion. Mods want to caution me about doing so if/when inappropriate, I'm cool with it. No issues thus far.
And...some posters here DO post elsewhere. We've got some awesome writers in our midst.

Damn straight. I love the threads on audiophile stuff and vinyls. In fact, I was on a thread today on Steve Hoffman and there's Mendozk and BrianLux.. Funny to see the same people in different places.

Hiya, m!
I get people staying where they're comfortable or most well-versed but some of my most treasured friendships here have been born in, I think, most every forum here. No judgments on whether or not they choose to venture.
I judge on postings (and yes, I DO judge), not the parameters of the forums in which they post

I don't like to brag about the shows because everyone's experience is unique and special to them in their own way just as the music is as well. Plus, I'd rather blow pro Hillary smoke out my ass. And get paid for it. Now, if pj wants to pay me for show reviews? We can talk and I'll consider it.

I'm with you, if only PJ pay's like Hillary does....money talks!
What's up Hedo! I enjoy it here as well. Keeps the day going when I'm in boring meetings. I do a lot of conference calls so I'll flip over and see what's going on.

I post in amt and musicians forums. I don't go to the porch and gush about the band, rank their songs/albums, post requests, or post pics where Eddie looks hot. Not that there is anything wrong with that stuff. Its just not me anymore. What their music means to me is personal and I don't need to discuss it with anybody. This forum was very lively with people from all over the world where there was a lot of different perspectives. This was before it went pay to post. Amt lost a lot of its diversity when that happened. I am a political junkie that developed a habit of posting here. Some habits are easier to break than others.

Can I get in on this get paid to post pro Hillary stuff? It could incentivize me to read and write more. I have to pay off the guitar I bought yesterday.

Wait, gimme...you DID used to post in the hot Ed thread? Love it
There's much more to the basics mentioned here. I see it as a smorgasbord of thoughts, some worth tasting, some worth offering a taste of my own (NOT innuendo), some worth splashing a generous dose of hot sauce or other needed condiment.
Guess I'm just happy with the path taken here. With the people who've brought me here, to this "now".

Lol I was just namechecking one of the most famous threads in forum history. I don't know, I may have posted in there years ago when my gf at the time used to post in there.

Ed does look pretty hot singing a song with a beer balanced on his head wearing a "Show me your riffs" t-shirt. I'm sorry, did I say Ed? I meant Hillary.

That Hoffman site is excellent! Besides lots of great music talk, the advice on hardware, discs, LP's etc. is excellent and the "off topic" is often interesting as well. I also like it that my language is kept in check there. In fact, just earlier today I wrote "sh** storm" exactly like that and it posted as "**** storm". I admit I get a bit flagrant with the expletives around here. Maybe should think about that.
I've seen Mr. Mendozk there but not you- at least not as mrussell. You must go by a different user name there or simply lurk (or maybe I'm just very unobservant?). Not probing unless you want to say. I think there are a few others here who post there. And no surprise- you can go there any time of the day or night and find the place quite busy!

This was a fantastical argument for anyone with a security clearance, but it was totally lacking in credibility for someone with her proven pattern of deceit. Clinton has repeatedly changed her story: First, she told us there was “no classified material” in her private emails (which the FBI says was untrue). Then she told us there was nothing “classified at the time” (which the FBI also says was also untrue). Finally, she told us there was nothing “marked classified” in her private emails (which the FBI says was also untrue). So now she tells FBI interviewers that she does not know what (C) means, and they believe her?
There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again. George W. Bush
"Hillary Clinton herself has classified thousands of documents with the "C" along with her signature as Sec of State so it's preposterous to accept that she didn't know that the C meant classified confidential" Julian Assange- holding up one such document HRC herself marked C classified confidential with her signature.
Shits and giggles FBI comparison between HRC actions and that of Barrett Brown's mother Karen Lancaster McCutchin.
The FBI showed up at his mother’s home on March 6, 2012. His mother hid Barrett’s journalistic notebooks among her pots and pans; an action any son could be proud of. Barrett didn’t co-operate and so the FBI made good on its threat. His mother was charged, convicted and eventually placed on six months probation—for obstructing the course of justice.

Re-read the last sentence of your post. An important distinction. Maybe a Trump justice department, a grand jury and a jury will feel differently regarding Hillary? Cha-Ching!

Yes, I go by BTNVideos over there. When I signed up on 10C, I didn't realize that my login was my username. I just never changed it. And Hoffman is busy. It feeds my insatiable desire for audio technical bullshit. I should have known you would be there. When you posted that pic of your cat running away here several weeks ago, I could see some telltale yellow kevlar cones of a B&W speaker. Knew you were a smart guy then.
