    Just a thought...

    1) Each day from Sunday-Friday, new items go on the Ten Club website. Items may only be picked up at the Volcom shop, and will not be shipped. Order confirmation page and photo ID required to pick up orders.
    2) By the day after, orders are picked and set aside, like a ticketing will call. (i.e. day one orders are picked and ready for day two and onwards)
    3) Any unreserved stock from the previous day gets released to the public in the store, in a separate lineup.
    4) Unpicked items at the end of the event are refunded, and go on sale online.

Essentially, the shop becomes primarily a pickup location, Ten Club customers are preferred, and the insane lines will be to have your order fulfilled, rather than to get to the front and be disappointed.

    That's a pretty cool idea.

I like the Pendleton Cincinnati design. I also like the Lightning Bolt album art. I think every poster collection should contain one. :fearful:

    Same. :fearful:

We land (in theory) at 9AM on Friday. I'm not sure if it's worth fighting to get down there. :/ Especially since this will be our only day in NYC. I think I'd rather spend it doing other things. But we'll see.

Is selling merch for 6 days a little much for 1 festival appearance that you may or may not be actually headlining? I'm all for posters, merch, etc... i love some of the stuff...

but 6 days of merch sales smells a little too much like Gene Simmons to me

shit, I am getting into NYC after the store closes on Friday. guess I will swing by Sat or Sunday. hopefully some prints will still be available. at least one poster to commemorate the event.

We won't be getting into NYC until later on Friday evening too...
AND hoping they'll be on sale at the venue on Saturday!!
All I'm hoping for is one nice poster from the event :rock_on:
From the newsletter: "The Volcom store will be the only location where you can purchase the full NYC PJ merchandise line that week." Not sure anything will be at Central Park on Saturday...

So basically they are packing a years worth of merch sales into one week in NYC headlining a festival.

If they do a "full line" of merch similar to wrigley, which is already sounds like is in the works with just the amount of posters they are promising, then expect people lined up for hours a day and by the time they get to the front only 1 to 2 items are available.

On a positive note at least it shouldn't be 100 degrees in July, on the down side how many hours do you see waiting in line to get to the front and only be able to buy a portion of the things that aren't sold out because they have to "hold back" items to sell every day.

They did this at ACL too and the first hour or so there was a crowd but nobody was there afterwards. Go early!!!

  • Ok, so do you guys think they will have any music for sale, specifically of the vinyl variety? I love a cool poster too but if I'm gonna be driving to NYC from south of Philly and waiting in line for hours, I'd like a shot at adding an album I don't have to my collection

I'm guessing just GC merch. Nothing like Seattle pop up shops.

Remember the people going to Cobert on Wed. too. I'm sure they will be on line in the morning. I'll try to see how it is b/f the pre -party otherwise I'm out.

This year I'm more interested in actually seeing PJ than getting merch. After all these years it feels sooooo good to say that!
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

I agree with you. I doubt I will ever buy a non-tour t-shirt ever again. I was telling a co-worker yesterday for the right price I would sell my entire collection of PJ stuff and not look back. I'm sure I'll try to get tour specific stuff for the shows I go to but that is about it. I've learned that you can get anything you need off Ebay at some point in time for a reasonable price and not waste time standing in line.

All this "stuff" is just going to be thrown away by relatives when we're dead. Happy Saturday!
