Derby Dave didn't get his hat. That made me sad for him.
Awww....poor Dave!
Bummer. I'm pretty sure that I was in line with Dave and his posse. I mean, who else would I talk to about tie dye.
The line was actually a pleasant experience.
If that was you, Dave, it was great chatting with you and your crew. And everyone else in my vicinity was good-natured and fun as well.
Which hat did Dave want? I saw the last Mets-themed hat get bought. And I think I got the last undamaged (at least by Volcom's definition; the corners aren't sharp and are pretty dinged up, but that'll frame out) Ames (the other two: one had a torn corner, and the other had tape on it). Hopefully, my son likes it!

Pretty sure Dave said he was wearing his 'i'm Analog' shirt that he tie-dyed.
Really great guy.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

That was him, then. And I knew that he was a really great guy from this forum, but now I know that it transcends the forum and that he's a gem in person as well.

Against my better judgement I went to the pop up. They did not restock and will not be restocking. No Pendleton, no transformers, no caps, no pins, no apple sticker.
NYPD sticker limit 1.
There were lightning bolt show shirts but not the apple lightning bolt.
Saw some hoodies and Mets shirts, not sure what sizes.

Medium mets shirt. I wish I had known you were there. I left with nothing. Was hoping for the Subway shirt. If they didn't want to make a Yankees shirt they should have made a Rangers or Giants one. I would have bought the Mets but it was not my size

Despite being a Bruins fan, I would have LOVED a Rangers themed PJ shirt.

B's suck!
(Don't tell my wife I said that. I've seen her shoulder check Habs fan, causing him to drop his beer! She still claims it was accident, but I don't remember her apologizing to him.)
And I had a B's fan fling nacho cheese all over my Messier jersey, too!

What is it with you chowdaheads?
Sorry someone threw cheese at you, it wasn't me. I love cheese, I would never ever throw it at anyone. Not all of us 'chowdaheads' are a-holes.
Probably a long shot, but anyone have a Lightning Bolt logo show shirt with the apple instead of the circle (like the one two posts up?) that they can spare? I'd love a size S or M. I didn't even realize that they were selling those until yesterday, and of course the pop up was out of them today.
My wife and I headed down today around 2pm. The line was about 8 ppl deep before they just let everyone in at once.
Was able to pick up the Hale poster - which was my favorite of all 4. It was a surprise to see that that was the poster with the most stock, while there were only a few Brokenfingaz left over.
There were still plenty of shirts left over but that was it. Although the trade off was having Matt stop in to say 'Hi' which was pretty incredible!
Also, they had a blow out sale on all the Volcom stock. Everything was $3. Pants, shirts, jeans, socks etc (except for PJ merchandise). The place was almost cleaned out by the time we left!

Would LOVE a Bruins themed PJ shirt. Or best a themed Bruins hockey jersey with the #77 on the back.
I'll PayPal right away!
