I'm with you! My problem is that the government pretty much fucks up anything it gets involved in, so why would anyone want an irresponsible governing body reaching into their lives...Oh, I forget, libtards cannot handle their own affairs! On the note of people being responsible for putting guns in the hands of criminals, did you guys hear that the Garland shooter's gun was a "Fast and Furious" gun??? I guess that anyone responsible for "Fast and Furious" should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I may actually support that!
    Like former pres bush?
Absolutely, him and Obama could share a cell! The two of them have done more to destroy unity and drive this nation apart than any president since Lincoln (yes, Lincoln was an asshat too) Why do people assume that because someone supports the constitution and gun rights that they are automatically Bush fans? I am as Libertarian as they come. The world would be a better place if people just helped one another instead of depending on the government to decide how people should help one another. What program has the government not fucked up?
The government is just as efficient as a large corporation. Having dealt with AT&T and Comcast recently I can tell you that they are much less efficient than the IRS which I deal with almost daily.

Sorry, I don't buy it. I can vote with my dollars when it comes to private business. I can't when it comes to the government. If you don't like your experience with AT&T, try a different carrier.

I've had plenty of battles with the IRS. I'd love to be able to choose a different revenue service to work with.

Well at least we kinda agree on something. I too feel that the government shares many similarities as large corporations; lack of empathy for people on a personal level, only agenda is to build itself...except all to often, heads of government are not there because they have done anything to help it. More so, they are there because of FOX, CNN, and other groups that promote their best interests, not the people's. How can one governing body decide what is in the best interests of millions? Sorry, do not mean to derail the gun topic. I totally support an individual's rights to own firearms :).

Actually that isn't true. Comcast is a monopoly in my area if you want/need fast reliable internet service. That's a fact. There is no other provider.

FOr my business I chose to stay with AT&T because if I went to VOIP I would have to switch my phone number and my phone number is valuable to me. Because of that I am stuck with AT&T.

I don't need to go into the stories but I can tell you that the IRS is far superior to either of those companies from a customer service standpoint.

In my opinion, yes, an ass hat. But that's an entirely different argument. And no, it is not because I'm racist or any bullshit like that. I just feel the man could have handled things very differently.

I mean a centralized governing body. Call it all of Washington DC. I find it funny how many people are so deluded that they will vote in presidential elections and not mayoral or for their own Sheriff's (governing bodies with much more impact on their daily lives). So many want to put more power in the hands of congress, the president, SCOTUS...when there is no logical way those pieces of "one centralized government" represents all demographics or cultures or morals of a diverse society. If anything, I believe in more states rights...maybe even a separation in the union since there is such a drastic split in viewpoints and ideals. Right now, if a republican is nominated, half the country feels misrepresented, and vise versa. That was not as much of an issue when there was a 500k population in the U.S. Now, you are talking way more misrepresentation on both ends when someone gets elected. The earlier poster who said that the government is a parent to the people has it right on today's day and age...but I believe it should be the opposite.

It's probably impossible anyways, we would all be eating Chinese food by the end of it, ha. There was a scenario type article that I read a while back written by some navy big wig showing what would happen if the USA ever went to war against itself...the outcome is not good on either end. I wish I could dig it up, it was an interesting read.

He was not supposed to stand behind his generals that were purposely maiming women and children by aiming their canons over the confederate armies and into the villages. Pretty sure war crimes would be considered and justified if anyone used that strategy today...

I really do not think it would just be one state. There has already been talks of a separate Union of states. Many of those states could self sustain but they would not have to. It would not be a lone seceding state all on their own. Would be great it they were allowed a peaceful departure, but the real greedy ugly heads in Washington would not let that happen.
I really hope it never gets to that point, but it seems to be getting closer and closer...
