Not exactly, there are at least as many whi dislike him as like him. He is a very polarizing figure, and he only draws the voters who always vote. The strategy for winning is getting youth and minority voters to the polls, they have lower turnouts, and have a greater effect on the end result. Not ALL. There was this guy Jack Layton in Canada. He lead the NDP Party. He was a truly amazing individual (and had been party leader for a long time, so there weren't any lurking surprises there).... but then, just as he was about to finally win the federal election and take Harper out, he died suddenly of cancer (which he'd already beaten once some years before). I am still so sad about it. He was a once in a lifetime politician. But generally, yeah, they're all just awful.

Just a reminder the 3 things gs that would change this country dramatically: 1) term limits on ALL politicians. From county council and mayors to senators and congressman. Including changing the presidential term to one 6 year term.
2)Eliminate the party system completely. You run based on your own principles and beliefs. And based on how much money you and your team can earn. Which coincides with the third and most important change:
3) true campaign finance. This means that any candidate can only spend X amount on any given campaign. From something like $25k for a mayoral run up to $5 million for a presidential run. The reason this would work is because if a presidential candidate is only going to run once (with one 6 year term) there is no need to have lobbyist donating $20 million to a campaign. They can only spend $5mil. This should eliminate lobbyist completely.
