I feel like I'm missing something that should be very obvious and easy to understand, but why is it a big deal that Hillary may have used her personal email account? I'm pretty sure I've done that on my job before.
Oh, and yes, still Bernie all the way!
Brian...your fired ! HAHHAHHAHHAHHAHHAHAH

Ha! Thank you Godfather! I can retire! Hahaha! (Well not really, LOL!)

It's that she used her personal email account exclusively so as to hide things from the public record. In doing so she appears to have housed top secret information on a personal email server in her home.
I think this, like most all political scandals before it, has been overblown by the opposition. Sounds worse than it is. However...mishandling classified information is still a big deal.
The "vast right wing conspiracy" has tried and failed for years to put a scandal onto Barack Obama. Yet with almost regularity and ease they are able to do so with Hillary Clinton. I think that says something about her conduct.
Democrats would do well to look for another option.
Thank you, Jimmy. I'm not sure why Clinton did this but, yeah, the opposition seems nearly desperate to find something to blow up into a scandal.

I wrestle with that thought every time I vote but keep doing it figuring a) I can, b) it's not inconvenient and c) I figure even a tiny amount of hope carried by one vote is better than no hope at all. But yes, great quote from the inimitable Mr. Clemens.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
This country needs a revolution and the only person I see that can make that happen is Bernie Sanders. He and Trump are the two people right now that can take back the country from the two party electorate and they're doing it in polar opposite ways.
The money and attendance Bernie is getting from the people of this country is something special. The rest of the lot, including Hillary, are a bunch of bought and paid for politicians.

The Iowa State Fair looks like so much fun. Love the idea of all candidates making an apearance but the food...oh my...all of the food looks so unhealthy and so DAMN GOOD at the same time. I want a corn dog and a fried dough and one of everything else.
......my union has decided to support Hillary Clinton, come to find out she is an honarary IAM member...what the fugarwe !....tell em what they wanna hear and then do what we think is best.

this.
I am on board and have contributed money 2x... something I would never typically do. I gave $5 to Obama but just for a couple stickers for a prank.
But yeah. I really like the tone of his campaign and his well thought out answers on the issues. It is the mirror image of Ron Paul (who I would have voted for if given the chance).
It would be great if he and Paul can find common ground on enough issues to create a 3rd party ticket called the Progresitarians or something... or just the "Fuck You Party". I think that would be a monster to break the ice jam that could find the only realistic candidates a Bush vs Clinton.
How about we eliminate the party systems all together and force candidates to raise money on their own without the help of PACs?
Wouldn't that just lead to more uber-wealthy, unqualified morons like Trump running? And probably a lot more shady back room deals?
Not if there is a cap on what a candidate can spend in any given election year. $2 million max? Then rich people can't just spend their way on the ballot.

Not up front, anyway. Now to figure out a way to stop all the fucking behind the scenes wheelin' and dealin' with the lobbyists, corporate big wigs, etc etc.

Cap what candidates can spend and keep. If it's a ridiculously low number, there is no reason for lobbyists.
If you are someone planning to vote Democrat in 2016, happenings on Martha's Vineyard this past weekend are further proof that your choice has already been made for you.
EDGARTOWN, Mass. — As Joe Biden considers a run for president, the donors he’d need to be viable appear to be ruling him out.
Not all 400 people who gathered at a waterfront estate here on Sunday have been die-hard supporters of Hillary Clinton. In fact, many recall a rough summer eight years ago when Martha’s Vineyard’s liberal elite split their loyalties between Clinton and Barack Obama. But on Sunday, they were reveling in party unity and had little appetite for Biden to complicate the field, despite their affection for him.
“I like Joe, but I’m hoping he doesn’t” run, said Kathryn Allen, who campaigned for Obama in the 2008 primary. “I really believe that there is no one more qualified at this point,” than Clinton.
Donors ponied up $1,000 to $2,700 for a brunch reception, where Clinton made a point of praising Obama’s handling of the economy, reiterated her support for the Iran nuclear deal and pledged to preserve his signature health care law. Only once in her half-hour speech did she draw a gentle distinction with Obama, saying she would have more success working with Republicans.
“It’s not easy,” said Clinton, whose remarks were partially audible from a private-access beach behind the home of Frank and Carol Biondi, who hosted the fundraiser. “You have to work with them day in and day out. So I will meet with anyone, anytime, anywhere. But I will stand my ground.”
Even Democrats who preferred Obama in 2008 said they were giddy about the possibility of electing the first woman as president. They also were especially proud of the limited Democratic field in contrast to the chaotic, 17-way Republican brawl.
this is crazy...a person running for president can ask for and accept money from any supporters to finance thier campain but a collage student goes into debt...our system sucks.

the problem is, Biden is unelectable. Somehow, over the past 8 years he has been portrayed as a clueless bozo (he is not). I think it is one of those things said enough times it becomes reality.

Maybe so, but how many times has Hillary Clinton been called dishonest? That same standard would rule her out as well.
(And maybe it has, honestly. I'm not convinced she can/will win the general election.)

How does this explain the opposite reaction for trump.

The current GOP is resigned to the possibility of nominating a clueless bozo. If not Trump then somebody else.
