Got the ultra rare black on black splatter variant, sure is pretty!

At first I thought my was just black vinyl. Didn't realize that it was black on black splatter. Much happier now!

Under very good lighting it's black with a blackberry-ish purple splatter. Lucky to have received a variant!

I'd like to think mine as black with red splatter as opposed to other people having red with black splatter, that's why I think mine is even more rare

Hello everyone. Looking for advice. My vinyl arrived today and I only had a chance to take the wrapper off before I had to head out and noticed front right upper corner of cover creased and bent. Are others finding this and is it considered normal or should I ask for a replacement. Thanks!

This is entirely in your hands- there hasn't been any other shipping issues I've heard of so far, so the 10c isn't going to do anything unless you ask them for an exchange.

It depends on how you feel. If it bothers you enough, send them an email, they'll most likely accept a return/exchange. If it's a black one, you may just go for the exchange, you never know- maybe they'll splatter ya with the replacement.

So what do people think the colored to regular black ratio is roughly? From the 10 club I mean.....

Seems 50/50 based on what I've read here. That's just going off the top of my head, haven't gone back to count or anything. Mine is finally coming today; says out for delivery. 99% sure it will be black :)
Yeah, but people who got the coloured version are more likely to post that they got it than people who received the black version.

Which is not what you expect, since it was recorded so long ago. You would think shows recorded now would be of the highest quality.

The "loudness wars" have really been detrimental in terms of quality recordings. For the most part, early CDs (80s-early to mid-90s) sound a lot better than recent ones. And a lot of vinyl is ruined because the producers and artists think one mastering fits all formats and they source it from digital.
I can't imagine that Pearl Jam thinks this. They just don't care anymore.

Got black yesterday, great package and gatefold. Good bit of surface noise on the first listen, although not visibly dirty. Cleaned it and will spin again later. Sounds very nice tho, little more punch than the digital to my ears

Let it be up to your ears. Some say it sounds good, others dont. You be the judge, I just felt it could have been a whole lot better. The best Mad Season pressing of late is the Live at the Moore; it sounds phenomenal.

Regular black vinyl here. Agree that the recording could have been better. Sounded a bit muffled and wasn't very crisp.

And I'm not an audiophile by any stretch.

Hmmmm... sounds like I'm officially passing on the LP unless I can trade for the splatter

It didn't sound right when I heard it on pj radio

I thought this has so much potential sound wise... oh well

To me it's not that big of a deal, the corner of mine was creased & bent as well.I've been buying vinyl forever and sometimes it happens.

Back in black. It's what I ordered, so can't complain. I'm happy that they even did a variant. Makes things more funnerererer! It'd be cool if they did it for the next Vault.

Two things to ask you peeps:
    - Has anyone from AUS received theirs yet?
    - Is the splatter only for the Symphony one, or are people receiving variants for the Live at the Moore? Furthermore, is the splatter the exclusive 10C and all the rest can be found in good music stores?

The Vault series on black vinyl is kinda cool with the black theme going - maybe a grey/black/ or clear splatter or swirl would be a cool match for the Vault records? Like this:

For the Vault series, please just keep it black.

For any other vinyl releases, let them taste the rainbow.

Couldn't you just trade a colored one for a black if you got one? I don't think you'd find it difficult to find someone to trade. I do like the standard black for that release, but wouldn't say no to a white or clear copy either. Plus it would send everyone here into another frenzy, which is entertaining.
