That's what I thought but they are not on the schedule as of today.

Agreed....I was also at the MIA fest and have to say that festival setlist was better than ever expected. I am headed to GCF and would be ecstatic for something similiar.
I've looked up other headliners sets from previous years at GCF and they are all 14-15 songs long could we really be looking at a 45-1hr set of pj ? I'm hoping for a 2hour set but I guess that's just wishful thinking.
So it looks like any warm up shows will be lower key surprise type affairs. If they were playing biger shows they would have been put on sale already. I was hoping to drive to Toronto from NJ. It looks like I will miss this event. I look forward to seeing videos online.

Source? What exactly is a 'lower key surprise type affair' in the greater NYC area?

I don't think he is saying there will be a surprise affair. He's just saying he thinks if there is any type of extra show it will be a surprise.

I doubt there will any type of show in the greater NYC area prior to GCF. I believe they will play before an audience prior to GCF. You don't play in front of 60,000 fans ; many of whom have flown in from other parts of the world; without playing in front of an audience within 3 or 4 days of the event. I was at the London show prior to Wrigley and it was clear the band was "shaking the dust off" at that show. There was one song where I think the band forgot what song they were playing in the middle of the song. It was a good show; but it was clear one of its functions was to get things in shape for Wrigley. So I firmly believe there will be a warm up show. I was hoping for a short Canadian tour but now that looks unlikely. Probably a surprise gig at a small venue in Seattle or Canada is my guess as of now.

Common sense would dictate they play a warm up show, but they made a point of announcing that this would be the only North American date this year.
I have a feeling this IS the warmup show for Latin & South America.
It would seem weird if it was in front of 60K, but not if it's a condensed setlist.
(Which I hope it's not considering I dropped $175 on VIP2 & the same amount on 50% of a hotel room...... I'm preparing myself for a short set, but at the same time am hoping for at least 90 - 120 minutes)
Any word on what channel its being played on? Does anyone actually see it in their channel guide? MSNBC still isn't showing it via Directv.

As much as I laugh at the whole concept, I just signed up for and completed all the available 'Actions', as I have conceded the fact that I have almost no chance of getting into the VIP areas unless I want to drop like $700, and it is the best way to try and ensure I can get in without it being a hassle at this point.
Took me a total of 10 minutes to do. Sent numerous Tweets to my zero followers. Contents of emails required to send were 'End poverty bro!', and 'Poverty totes needs to be eradicated dude!'. Man, do I feel like I have done so much to help starving people around the world! Whoo hoo! Man, screw the whole volunteering or donating money to worthwhile causes crap, this 'help starving people from my couch with a few clicks on my keyboard thing' is like SO much easier brah!

Samsonite, I was way off. Thought the concert was yesterday!

Any Intel on set times and order with t minus one month? Anybody hearing anything? I know we are all speculating they're headlining for 60-75 mins but any real news leak?

This.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. It'll be somewhere in between.

Well said, Odie
Based on the tour itinerary this makes sense. However, I can't imagine them doing a "warm up" in Central Park in front of +/-70K people and for a show that'll be broadcasted on tv for who knows how many ears and eyes. #23daystogo !!!

I hope you're right. But see, to us a "greatest hits" show is going to feel like a "warm-up" show. Because we're spoiled rotten.

There better be a delay when PJ goes on or Eddie is gonna run up the censorship bill to roughly a bazillion dollars.
Can't believe this show is only a month away already.
Good luck, folks!
