25+ years of driving a semi

Today they asked me, "How would you like to be in management?"

I said, "Sure."

25 years of driving a semi.
June 1st? I will no longer be driving a semi.

    Congrats.

Just be careful you may miss driving the semi more than you realize, being in charge of other people is like herding cats

My old man drove a cement truck for 20 years and went into a sales/management spot around 4-5 years ago. He loves it.

Congrats and know that we look forward to your posts in the annoying offices behaviors bitching about clompy shoes, loud chewers and speaker phone talkers, disgusting bathroom habits, underlings that don't do anything yet expect a raise, etc. etc. etc. careful, you're going from an office kingdom of one to a zooofficeapalooza!

And thats where I am heading....
    Routing

    It's my same shift, nights.
I basically know every route, every customer, and every driver. We have partner companies I will have to get familiar with, but as far as routing for the company I work for? I am positive I can figure it out fairly quick. Hell, I have driven 95% of our routes.

It gets me out of the truck
    No more winter driving
    And it's something new.
