Saw Flying Lotus last year at Bumbershoot - was one of the loudest sets I've seen in years! But it was good, he was good. Didn't know he was buds with Thom Yorke, who I love. Cool stuff to know.

I bought this album due to all the hype it's getting and I'm still discovering it. I'm finding that it's taking me quite a few listens to get it, but that's usually a good thing. I really like the music. The thing about rap that I usually struggle with is the vocals. I find it can be very monotone. You can take rap vocals and put it over pretty much any music and it works. You can't do that with a singer. That being said there does seem to be something special about this album.

The music is great. Now I need to understand the message of each song.

    Really enjoying the album.

I think The Blacker The Berry is one of the most amazing songs I've heard in my entire life.

So powerful, the ultimate middle finger to racists.
This album sounds like it came out of the early to mid 90's with it's production/sound.
The bass is very pronounced, my car really vibrates haha

Has anyone found a mp3 DL of his ACL broadcast? I can't rip it from my DVR.

Ok, NEVER heard of that dude but that *King Kunta* video was a very nice jam. I'm going look for some more music by him. Also love that old school leather Patriot jacket, that WAS the best NFL logo ever.

I bought good kid m.A.A.d city yesterday and gave it a listen, I really like it after only the one listen. I bought the deluxe edition, comes with a second disc with 3 extra songs which are great too.
He played in Melbourne, I missed his show, reviews of it and his other Aussie shows are that the shows were brilliant. I hope to see him next time.
