Roger loves Ed. Roger left his seat at Hammersmith Apollo to surprise Ed and join him on stage for Blue Red & Grey and Naked Eye a few years back. Ed was really chuffed.

CELEBRATING THE WHO WITH PETE TOWNSHEND AND EDDIE VEDDER April 14 2015
Celebrate The Who with Pete Townshend, Eddie Vedder, Simon Townshend and friends on May 14 at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
Proceeds to benefit the Teen Center America programs for teenagers & young adults with cancer at the The University of Chicago Medicine, and other local children’s charities.
Yeah Hedo, Ed has always supported Roger's teen cancer efforts, he'd be fine with it. Pete's the arrogant one, and I say that with complete honesty. I love Pete, but he doesn't like to be outshined. Unless he's mellowed with age, but I doubt it. One of the things I've always loved about him, he's brilliant and he knows it. .
Any idea how many $250 seats there will be? I heard a rumor that the balcony would be $100 and $250 which wouldn't be bad. Anything over $250 is out of my price range. Guess I will be going to fewer Cubs games this year

I'm going to say that less than a 1/4 of the seats will be under $250. As for the $100 seats there will probably be 100-150 of these available and will be in the ass end of the venue, probably behind a pole.

Howdy, sister! Great talent and voices for a great cause.
Hmmmm, cost of ticket $1000, cost of flight $500, hotel $300, car rental $50, Memories... Priceless... Yeah I'm going for it, against all better judgment.
You should buy a second ticket to light your cigar with.

Ummmm, there are no poles to sit behind at the Rosemont Theater. You could possibly sit next to a column in this venue but it should not obstruct a view if you have a neck that works in the slightest of function.
Love the pessimism that permeates from some on this board.
It's a smaller venue that will be a hot ticket...tickets haven't even gone on sale yet and people are already complaining.
I simply cannot afford to do it. This is literally my DREAM show but I just can't do it. The only thing that could possibly make this show any better, for me, would be a Michael Stipe sit-in for a few tunes. All that being said, this shit NEEEEEEDS to be released in some format.
It is one hell of a bill for sure--two of my heroes! And very cool it's for a great cause. Just don't think I can afford the trip. Stinks, as it's definitely drivable. I hope there's a boot! Good luck to all those trying!

Until we see a detailed seating chart, it's just guessing--but there's 5 ticket prices, and the venue has 5 "tiers" of seating:
I haven't been there in 20 years, but I recall great sightlines and acoustics, even upstairs.
It is a little weird to have all of the (current touring) Who sans Roger playing Who songs the night after the actual Who plays on the other side of town.
I'm going to be a Debbie downer/negative Nancy and just say it, but this doesn't really do anything for me. In fact, I got tired of the whole Eddie hearts the Who like 10, 15 years ago. Hasn't he already performed with Pete Townsend/The Who multiple times before?? An evening celebrating the Who? So what???
Flame on!
(I'm not coming back here to read any responses, lol)

This is going to be one special performance. Two of my all time favorites together for an entire show? Fuck yeah.
As far as that picture of EV above... I wish some of you had to have your mug plastered all over the internet and scrutinized on a regular basis. Lets see how good every picture looked and see what people had to say.

Same for me. The Who is one of my favorite bands and I can't imagine a cooler show than Eddie singing with the Who for the entire set. I mean this is like 1000 times cooler than going to a "real" Who concert which is really just two guys anyway. I was lucky to see them twice when John was still alive, but this is just a dream show. I wish I could go. Cost plus weekday plus 1500 miles away makes it a no-go. I work in education and it's so close to the end of the year I just can't take 2-3 days off work to fly to a concert. If it was June 14th I'd be trying to get tickets like a fucking madman. Please release a CD or DVD or both, otherwise it will drive me insane till I die, knowing that this happened and I missed it.

I guess it's illegal to come right out and say, no regular fans wanted. Pisses me off. Pete is my favorite man in the world, so much a part of who I am, and I apparently have zero chance here.

Saw Gilmour at the venue, with my back against back wall and the view was fine and the sound was great.
