What a cute little silkie! One of our first chicks turned out to be a bantam cochin rooster. He had feathered feet.

Cool! I really like birds in general...when we went to the hardware store, they had chicks for sale. I would look at them and Mr. RK would pull me away 'you can't have one'. :(
I wanted to tell him "but they will eat all the slugs in the garden!"

Thread integrity: I ordered 'eggs in a basket' (they call that dish all sorts of different names) in Missoula. I can make them no problem.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Okay well maybe I'm not oiling/buttering the pan enough(it is non-stick) because my omelettes do not slide at all. Hmmmm....And the spinach might've been too watery because I used frozen spinach and cooked it beforehand, but didn't press the water out of it before I added it to the eggs.

I'm such an amateur. And I need to go out and buy more eggs today - I'm all out. Gonna make omelettes all week until I get this bad boy right!

Have you perfected it yet? (btw: Congratulations on entering the 10,000 post club!)

Well, sure, but who wants to eat toads? Although the addition of cheese is masterful - I'll need to try that.

Am I over 10,000 now? Man, I need to get a life. But thank you! :)

And yes, I have made 2 back to back perfect looking and tasting omelettes. Are you on Instagram? I posted a pic of my first one earlier this week. Second one was even better.

I am not on Instagram. Do I need an account to view pics, or is it open to the public (and if so, how do I go about finding your pics?).

Uh, I think you join/sign up, which is easy and then add people you know. There's an Instagram thread on here, you should check it out.

But yeah, I'm dB_Chambers1219 on Instagram, so look for me and add/request my friendship.

Found the pics! (I was able to go on there without an account.) Excellent looking omelette. Very adorable cat. And I am assuming that is you in the one pic? Very sweet pic.

Oh thanks! And yes, Pennie is my kitty. She is adorable. And yes, that's me. That was during my fat Elvis period(actually I'm still in my fat Elvis period). But I can get un-fat anytime. I just chose to extend it for now.

OP, I'm not laughing at you--just the idea of someone having a Fat Elvis period. You do not look fat in that pic.

No pills. And I can't play guitar or swivel my hips. But I can down a PB and banana sandwich like a king.

Can you make an omelette? Have you been trying?

Martha Stewart, lol. She couldn't use the pan to flip! So Disappointed. Hers broke when she flipped it. Mine didn't. And she has a criminal record now, so can't trust her now!

So...what is the optimum time for the eggs to boil for soft boiled eggs?
