    How does one go about tickets? So from what I have seen is you sign some petitions and other activities and you gain points. Does everyone who meets the points requirements get a ticket? Some posts on here made it seem like it was a drawing for the people that have the points. And do you need to get the points be a certain date?

    So we have the usual guy 'in the know' who pipes up with a reliable source, who gives zero information, or offers no other information other than my 'reliable source'

    its a pure coincidence that the announcement for the line up to Global is 6 days away, this advance notice bears the NYC subway sign, and the suggestion they are playing this festival has been reported for some 4-6 months already.

    It would be cool if there was substance in this 'reliable source' however without any details its hardly worth even mentioning, rather a case of 'look what I know' style teaser. If it is indeed correct that would only lead to a few MSG shows being a possibility which would be immense, but Id say the Global festival participation looks absolutely nailed on

    My bet it's Global fest and a few NYC shows leading up to it. But, I have no "reliable source". Like someone said, are they going to travel across the country for an hour or so set? 3-4 night stand at MSG is long overdue anyway

    I was told last year from a pretty reliable source that PJ will headline Global. FYI, Neil Young played for 2 hours when he did Global. Also, just so your aware. Getting enough points does not guarantee you tix. You are put into a lottery drawing for the tix once you earned enough points.

    I was at the Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Neil Young Global Citizen Show.

    Band of Horses played for about 20 mins.
    A rapper from Africa played about 20 minutes
    John legend did 1 song.
    Black Keys played 48 mins
    Foos played 50 mins
    Neil Young played 70 mins.

    In between each set, there were people speaking about Global Issues such as poverty.
    Also note, no alcohol is sold/permitted. You are searched by tight security as you enter.

    it's a free show in central park. i'm pumped. who cares how many people are there. and their greatest hits are hits ....well because they are good songs.

    I think it's 5 pts. per entry, but I'm not entirely positive about that.

    I was only able to accumulate 10 points so far... am I missing something?

    I don't have Facebook but have twitter... only able to get points by signing petitions... am I not using Twitter for this properly?
