For those who aren't fans of Ed Sheeran and Beyonce, you may even like this! (Big fan of Beyonce myself, not at all a fan of Sheeran). Fingertips/Master Blaster/Higher Ground medley, also featuring Gary Clark Jr., from this past February's Stevie Wonder tribute: https://youtube.com/watch?v=WaoF9SbCzs0

Thought this was a cool find. Would not be mad at all to hear this!

Fucking COOL. I would be absolutely thrilled if she or he deliver half as much as they do in that video.

Someone said that on Sirius they said that their coverage of PJ's performance starts at 9:15ET.. hopefully that doesnt mean they only have a 45 min set

This. This is my concern right now. :(

  • Let's just think about this for a minute...it's an autumn Saturday in Central Park, and these bands are playing...it will be shit ton crowded, and it isn't a regular three hour Pear Jam show, but it's free. I think I'm getting a little more excited about this each day. It will be my only show this year, and I haven't seen just one show in a year for a long time. I'm ready! I hope to see a few of you there too!
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

Of course it won't be a three hour show... I don't think anyone's expected that, ever.

But lots of us will be coming from far off... and if a 45 minute set is accurate, that's a huge bummer. Doesn't mean we won't go, doesn't mean we will throw a stink about it, but it does mean a lot of us will be disappointed.

Well, I suppose it will mean some of us might choose not to attend, but not many.

For anyone who's already in town, Dave Krusen is playing with Pete RG in Brooklyn tonight (9/22)

  • I read the reviews of the 2014 GCF on Ticketmaster.com. Was a little discouraged to hear it was not setup well (hours long wait to get in for GA, an hour+ for VIP, ran out of food, no alcohol), I recommend checking those out if you are attending.

But i did read that Jay-Z did not go on until about 10pm last year. Not sure if that is true - does anyone know?

What I'm getting at is they might be planning to go over. Most cities have an 11pm curfew so i would think NY does too.

And if their set really is 1:40, then this would make sense. Start around 9:15pm, done by 11pm.

Hey everyone take a deep breath and relax, we're going to see Pearl jam in Central Park for gods sake. Let's just enjoy the show. Everyone's main concern should be how they are going to sneak enough booze into the 6+ hr show and not how long pj will play at the show.

The above listed schedule could be accurate. The concert officially announced Coldplay goes on at 4pm, So 1 hour set for them, Sheerhan would go on around 530. 45 min for him would have Beyonce lined up around 630. Setting up for Pearl Jam to go on around 815-830 for an 1hr 40 min set. The SIRIUS radio saying 915 is interesting. I just can't see them "headlining" and only playing 45 min. It should be 1 hr 30 min. That's realistic for a festival like this.
