Amazing the way the human body is so moldable.

I'm mid week 3. I fell down to column 1 this week but still going strong. My in-house push ups coach approves my form and technique too so there's that. Resting today and more push-ups tomorrow

    In house pushups coach...

    Hahahahahahaha!!!!

    Keep it going!!!

Well at some point today, I have to get my fatass down on the floor, and see how many consecutive pushups I can do.

    At some point.

    Banged out 40
Could have done a few more, but had only given myself 1 days rest. In other words I don't want to break my arms, pull a muscle, etc. etc.

I am moving on to week 5, still in column 2, and happier than all fucking hell.

I'm sticking with it. Finished week 3. Column 1. It's yet to be seen if I'll move on to the next week or repeat week 3. This might take me twice as long but I'm determined. It's all a process.

Its definitely going to take me a little longer than 6 weeks. Once I realized you have to take "max tests" after weeks 4 and 5, I knew I wasn't going to finish this in 6 weeks. Plus like I said earlier, I started to give myself a little more time between workouts.

But the difference between week 1 and week 4 is just incredible. It was the beginning of week 3, where I realized I had gotten a whole heck of a lot stronger. Ill finish this 100 pushup test off and then probably do pushups the rest of my life.

    132 total today.
Probably wait till Monday to do my next test.
I am not really worried though. I will stay in column #2.
36-40 isn't going to be an issue.
Funny how the body works. Eat good and exercise....And you get stronger?

    Who would of thunk it?

I thunk it. Keep up the good work(out) Mike. Maybe you'll be strong enough to go skiing in Colorado with me sometime.
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)
    What You Giving

I suggest you step out on your Porch.
Run away my son. See it all. Oh, See the World!

    I don't ski
I went once, I actually did pretty damned good.
    I will never ski again.
    Hahaha

50 year old men shouldn't hit the slopes.
    Just ask Sonny Bono.

It's hitting trees that you need to avoid. So far in 20 years ( skiing, in my trees ) I've only needed stitches once for hitting a tree. I'd rather die doing something that I love, than dying doing nothing. Go hard or go home!

    Yeah, well I love sleeping
And that sounds like a good place to die.

And YOU are the one who mentioned skiing and death.

That is why I don't go skiing.
The "death factor" that is involved.

got 2 away from hitting max on my last rep, and my son jumped on my back.
Just had to get that off my (still unchiseled) chest.

    Week 5 Day 1

I knew 2 weeks ago, that this day would be my downfall. Everything changes in week 5.
I couldn't handle the 4th set, and I couldn't handle my MAX set.
So I just added four sets of my max.
But I knew damned well that this was going to be the workout that kicked my ass.

Anyone seeing any noticeable body composition changes?I would think after a month some nice tri,pec and front delt changes should happening for you.

I've been skiing since I was 5-6 and only hit a tree once too. I was skiing in the trees, made a cut, the tip of my right ski hit the base of the tree. Ski got ripped off but it sent me spinning. Hit a tree with my shoulder and arm taking most of the blow. Knocked the wind out of me and I swore I separated my shoulder. Hurt like a bitch, but I made it out in one piece...and skied the rest of the day...but my tree skiing was done for the day.

Push ups alone speedy? Or are you mixing in other exercises either with weights,or body weight sets like Dips and planks?
Great job with this program. It seems like you're pretty fired up.
