i am in a local band here in st louis and we have bouncers in front and on either side of the stage. nobody can even get near us unless we allow it.

this woman should sue the venue as well.

she had no place on that stage, but he also had no business knocking her out.

Security should have been there, but I disagree with the suggestion she should sue the venue- even though there is significant legal precedence rewarding such stupidity.

Courts need to stop rewarding people for their poor choices
If this guy did this in the Santa Clara 49ers stadium, he would have probably filed a lawsuit and won ...

is it bad that i laughed at that guy when i first saw that video?
It is pretty funny except the dumbass landed on someone and injured them.

The good people of buffalo .... he was banned for life from Bills games ... his boss immediately fired him ... and he is going to do 1 - 2 years in the clink.
The man did time? What was the charge?

The guy was clearly a knob end, hope the person he landed on wasn't too badly injured.

third-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment

Dr. Loubert Steven Suddaby, Bratcher's neurosurgeon, testified that Bratcher, 29, had bulging discs in two places in his cervical spine and a herniated disc in his middle spine. He said if the impact had been only two inches forward, Bratcher could have been killed or left a quadriplegic.

I think the scoreboard says 0-0, so yeah, either it was the beginning of the game, or it was a SNOOZER.

you can sue anybody for anything in this country. it might get laughed out of court, but you can sue anyone and seek damages for the slightest perceived wrong. depends on the judge and jury.

of course you can. but it seems you are advocating for her to do this? is that what you are saying?

if she suffered injury in a place hosting a concert where alcohol is sold, there is liability there. so yeah, she should sue to get her medical bills paid. i am sure they have insurance to cover things like this.

You are speaking to two things:

    1. The reality.
    2. One of the problems with your country.

She likely does have a lawsuit, but she sure as hell shouldn't. It's the blame game.

the venue didn't knock her out. the contracted performer did. she went on stage where the general public are generally not allowed. what you are saying is the venue is at fault for not protecting this drunk from herself. I don't personally agree with that line of thinking.

No, but her idiocy spawned further dumbassedness. Again - why not have the artiste foot the bill for his actions?

    i don't make the laws.

but still, as a venue owner, safety and security should be number 1 priority over everything else. did the security keep the artist safe? no. did security keep the fan safe? clearly not. could the venue have done more for security? yes.

all i am saying is that is how the law works in this country.

disagree all you want. all i am saying is that she will find an attorney to sue the venue, and she will get a settlement out of it. who knows, maybe the settlement will just be that they are required to provide more security.
