I miss dan. I wonder if he got arrested in vietNOW. Now imagine the irony in that.
Ha. Wonder if he'll do the Cu Chi Tunnels tour. Such a cheeky presentation of Vietnamese resistance forces they had there. I remember the information video they had prepped... "this is _____. He won American-Killing Award for most Americans killed in Vietnam conflict!"
I also wonder if the abundance of deformed people still suffering from the results of Agent Orange will have any impact on him at all. I still remember the feeling I had after visiting the war museum, then seeing the deformed people on the street.. America's gift that keeps on giving (as the birth defects haven't ceased, nearly 40 years later).
The deformities are horrendous. Hexavalent chromium is the culprit isn't it? It builds in an adult and then dumps into the first child and causes such terrible birth defects. I wonder if he will encounter anyone with such problems. And then if he does, what will he think of his pal Kissinger who caused those maladies.
My Dad did 2 tours 66-68.Enlisted ,not drafted.Suffered from major circulation/heart and lung issues all due to AO.In fact it was single biggest culprit in the cause of his death in 2011. Government did not admit that was the cause until like 2004.They then paid back disability.I hope more Vietnam Vets with health issues can connect the dots and at least get the help they need.
Wow RR, I can't imagine what your pops saw there. And to have to suffer till the end. Sorry man

My friend's Dad also suffers from the effects of Agent Orange. He was a military photographer in 'Nam VA is trying to deny him full coverage. He had to go to an outside specialist to diagnose it before they would pay for treatments. and they still don't pay the full cost. a shame how we treat our veterans.
Tell him to keep fighting. It took my dad decades.but enough noise and they will give in.

From reading his comments on threads, he doesn't care about anything unamerican. And it's scary to think he represents the men in blue, if he truly is a REAL cop.
So you had to bring this discussion back to me bb and my profession when the adults on here moved on....must not have left your parents basement playing on your computer the past few days evidently.. So to feed your creepy infatuation with me I will share with the group a few thoughts on my Vietnam War tours and experiences the past couple weeks. But before that I want to give RR a thanks Buddy shout and a bigger thank you to your Father for his service for our great country. The 101st airborne was essential to one of the most gruesome battles at Hamburger Hill, just read about that yesterday at the HCM city War museum. So I just got back from the Cu Chi tunnels and yes it's very shocking stuff on many levels. War is never pretty and this one was obviously atrocious. Being here as a proud American has been challenging to say the least, but I have not experienced any hatred what so ever from the Vietnamese people, only warm smiles, awesome service, and out of this world food. The funny looks all come from the Europeans on the tours...See on these various tours I have been going on they all ask everyone to stand up on the bus starting the tour and introduce yourself and where you are from. I am not a fan of this procedure that they do for obvious reasons but it's just part of their thing and I am a guest in their country. One thing I have found interesting is how unfairly one-sided all the war museums are here. I have been to the one in Hanoi and HCM city. USA is referred to as the Devil, savages, blood thirsty , baby killers, imperialists, to name a few off the top of my head...I mean it's supposed to be a museum not a propaganda source.. The thing that really pissed me off was the multi million $ upgrades to the HCM cCity war museum were paid for by US companies. The Canadians I have been chumming around w/ the past couple days pointed that out to me. Communist propaganda is rampant everywhere yet I have never been to a place with more enterprising people. The street markets in this country are such a trip, and you can buy and do just about anything here. At the Cu Chi war tunnels today they had a gun range where you can fire M-16's, Carbines, and even a 30 Cal village destroyer that was mounted to the back of a jeep that was actually used in the war. They charged about 4 Dollars US per round...that's right, 4 bucks a round and make you buy 10.. You should have seen all the Asian's and European's running to the line to buy their Ammo and play Rambo. It was very amusing to me. If I knew how to post video on here I would show you the silliness and how unsafe it was. We stopped at a arts and crafts stand where all the artists were all affected by Agent orange. Either they were born w/ a abnormality or developed one over the years. It was very touching for me to see that but in true Vietnamese style they all had the biggest smiles on their faces, and that was before the 50 Dollar piece of art I bought. The children in this country are the cutest and most intelligent kids I have ever been around. Very self reliant and wise. I have been duped numerous times by them during my trip with all sorts of games they play to get a few bucks out of Ya... I got one more day here and I got to say it's been one of the most rewarding trips I have ever been on. This is truly a special place with even more special people. If any of you like putting on the backpack still and getting lost In the bizarro world, you couldn't find a better place...it ain't for everyone thou (vegetarians, crazy animal lover types, and germa phobes might have a big problem here...Get here soon cause as they say...things-a-changin....

You need to stick to story telling cuz your jokes are atrocious. Again, I find it very amusing that someone calls bullshit on you being a cop and you ignore that and go off on some rant about how generous you are with the Vietnamese people and blah blah blah. I have a feeling in a couple of days, you're gonna be to embarrassed to show your face around here. Matter of fact, I KNOW this. Guy goes to Vietnam is offended by the one sided museums. Hahaha, do you stand up on the bus and say,"my names muskydan, but you can call me Rambo." And I believe you're mistaken them laughing at you as "smiling" at you.
Today's Saturday, I wonder if my parents are gonna let me leave the basement today.
Edit-hey dan, what u think of my new avatar? I feel like it's very fitting no?
Well I enjoy decent writing. Lot of people on these boards who I disagree with but who are very thoughtful, well read and who also write really well. I think if you practice a little bit and turn off your capslock from time to time I could become a fan of yours as well. Adjusting your tone is also important...maybe just start with that.
So you have issues with the way I "talk" in my posts but yet have no issues with a guy who's flat out making stories up? That's interesting. I wrote 1 word in caps in my post, yet I need to turn my caps off? As for my tone, I'm ok with it, my friends seem to be ok with it.
It's all good. I'll keep calling bullshit on his stories and you can keep admiring his posts.
Hahaha, nice response. So you're a believer of his stories. Care to share the link of the soldiers being spit on at Chicago ohare? I searched again today to no avail. I'm beginning to wonder if U2 are the same person. It's funny, guy lies about vets being spit on and you come to his defense. I guess when you only have 1 or 2 friends on the boards, it must get lonely. Again, if I'm proven wrong, I'll have no problem apologizing on the forum in BIG CAPS. Sorry for using my caps. Trying to make a point.
Again, you're defending someone who's clearly in my eyes and some other peoples eyes, making up stories. Stories that no one can find ANYWHERE. (Again, sorry for my caps) You see how silly that looks. But I know, you don't care. You're defending a troll, our nation is ashamed of you. Hahahaha

Awesome that you are enjoying your trip! This summer was supposed to be South America but that's not happening with an infant. "One thing I have found interesting is how unfairly one-sided all the war museums are here. I have been to the one in Hanoi and HCM city. USA is referred to as the Devil, savages, blood thirsty , baby killers, imperialists, to name a few off the top of my head...I mean it's supposed to be a museum not a propaganda source." Doesn't that sound familiar? Sounds like Steve Kyle to me. Even worse, Kyle was the invader, not the invaded! "We stopped at a arts and crafts stand where all the artists were all affected by Agent orange. Either they were born w/ a abnormality or developed one over the years. It was very touching for me to see that but in true Vietnamese style they all had the biggest smiles on their faces" So what feelings did/do you have about Kissinger's decision to use Agent Orange knowing that it was extremely hazardous to both American soldiers and Vietnamese civillians? Biological warfare is off limits to everyone but the US somehow?
I don't know if Muskydan's stories are true or not. I could say the same about everyone on here. I just find it interesting as to how you see yourself as the arbitrator of these boards. Did someone assign you the position of calling people out? As far as I am concerned it is you that is pretending to be a cop.

Hahahaha, me a cop? No, I just don't like bullshit stories. And when someone makes a claim about our soldiers being spit on returning home from Iraq, and no one can verify said stories, I'll call them out on it. I assigned myself the troll hunter. And you and dan are on my list. Don't feel bad BS, you're in good company.
And now you don't know if his stories are true or not, yet you jump to defend him. Classic.
I'm not defending Dan. I'm sure he doesn't need it. I just think your incivility to people on here is telling. He makes a post about his travels and you bring out the hammer. You're a good guy. Happy Valentine's Day Troll Hunter.
No, I'm actually an asshole but I could give 2 shits what you think of me. I'd rather be a troll hunter then a BullShit artist. And I save my incivility to people like you and dan. I seem to get along with everyone else here, yet not with U2. Now that's telling.

The guy that called out Brian Williams wasn't an NBC sponsered arbitrator. He smelled bull shit and called out bull shit. Everyone here has the right to do the same. One can choose to defend what they say or back it up with facts, or they can not and run the risk of being labeled untrustworthy.

speaking of museums, there is a big controversy about the human rights museum opened in winnipeg recently. completely glosses over canada's OWN human rights atrocities with regards to our indigenous peoples. some would argue it was genocidal in nature (the residential school thing, if you know about it). many argue that it is one-sided because if it wasn't, the government would be painted as the perpetrators, but hey, guess how much funding this museum got from that same government.

Ya Rgams, I really had an incredible trip. At the end of it now sitting on a lay over at the airport in Toyko. Not ready to face cold as a witches titty weather after being in 90 degree weather the past couple week. My feelings about agent Orange is it sucks. I wish that tactic was never used. I never defended Kissinger, I just gave support to A man I have always respected in John MCCain. It was very cool for me to see the actual jump suit McCain was wearing when he got shot down In Vietnam and sent to the Hanoi prison For 5.5 years as a POW

He was attached to the China Beach Medical base in a place called Tuey-wa(sp)? He was part of unit that deployed and maintained Huge jungle clearing Trucks ,dozers and catapillers. He didn't talk much about the "action" he saw but others who were in and around where he was around the same time said it was hot with activity.I didn't push.I have a shit ton of stuff stored. One of these days I think I will go thru it.Include something dedicated for him in some new ink,I ve saved a spot, lol
He came home with a blown out knee from a 2x4 breaking over it .Says they were partying a lot, smoking pot and opium.playing around.Always joked I have siblings that are half Vietnamese. So that's interesting. He was with 101st airborne.Had superior sniper skills .they wanted him to stay on in that roll, but he thought that shit wasn't for him.My mom ran a Vietnam vet support group in the early 70s.The old man refused to be a part of it.
Side note about my pops.He was best friends with Billy Joel as teenagers and young adults They started a side painting buisness before the war.I have some great pics somewhere I'm sure the enquirer would love these.lol
My parents had a costume party when I was like 3 and BJ came as a gram of hash wrapped in tin foil from head to toe.I think he was in the band the Hassles at the time and married to his first wife Elizabeth.I had completely forgot about that.thanks BB for joggin the memory.
Thanks - and you too, lolo - for sharing of yourselves.
My ex mother in law is like the biggest Billy Joel fan in the world.
she was at his first ever concert at the Spectrum. front row. still has a picture of it.
can't wait to tell her your story!!!!

Today's Saturday, I wonder if my parents are gonna let me leave the basement today.
Edit-hey dan, what u think of my new avatar? I feel like it's very fitting no?
It's all good. I'll keep calling bullshit on his stories and you can keep admiring his posts.
Hahahaha

And now you don't know if his stories are true or not, yet you jump to defend him. Classic.
I think we can all do the math.
