I listen to a TON of music and in the past was definitely in the 75% and above group, but now have really broadened my listening scope...
Many, many days filled with DCFC, Tom Petty, The Black Keys, QOTSA, State Radio, Counting Crows, Beck, Black Taxi, Cake, The Postal Service, Led Zeppelin, Chadwick Stokes...I could go on and on!
my life is generally ruled by music.... John Lennon... my favorite Bob Dylan... close 2nd Neil Young... right on Bob's heels.... can't wait to see him at Farm Aid. and then WAY TOO MANY more "contemporary bands" to list. all genres, styles, lo-fi to hi-fi, anything that is good and has some passion to it

Right now I'm drinking a glass of wine and listening to Chopin.
I listen to EVERYTHING. But there are plenty of times when I try to listen to "other music" just to because I think it's good for me. It's usually 2-3 minutes into a song when I'm back to Pearl Jam.
kinda wish it was less, but I only stray away for short stints at a time..
Funny- me too! I can't stay away too long. But its good to mix it up here and there.
I try to mix it up too, but then I find myself jumping around a lot. PJ is the only band I can just my music on shuffle and let it go for hours without having to skip anything.
Whatever percentage makes up one troy ounce of silver. I think its 99.999998.
That's too bad, that you'll never hear the brilliance that is Tracks Of My Tears, Where The Streets Have No Name, Paranoid, Enjoy The Silence or God Only Knows.
It depends on the season. If there are new albums out I will spin those bands. If I have tickets to an upcoming show, I will listen to that band. This is especially true in the summer before festivals. Before Bonnaroo I only listened to Bonnaroo bands from the announcement until the dates of the fesival. If I am on spotify, I will listen to whatever. But if a PJ tour is iminent or a new record was just released, or it's winter and I have no upcoming tickets for a couple months, then I will spin PJ alot.

Since my sat radio subscription expired its probably less than 50%. I miss it but found it to be kinda repetitive. Stuff I am listening to now would include; Chris Cornell/Soundgarden, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gary Clark Jr., Jonny Lang, Ray LaMontange, The Strokes, Arcade Fire... and the list goes on.
All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives,.....choosing the shiny ones instead,......
Pretty open to any kind of music , pearl jam particularly live concerts I listen to every other day. Have a vast collection of music collected over my life , when chillin listen to reggae and a great psychedelic outfit called Shpongle , also banco de Gaia and sahara band Tinariwen are good to drift away to. Love the music that influenced the 90's bands clash, Ramones, Neil young, Tom petty etc. leading up to concerts I listen to more of the back catalogue and at the moment can't stop listening to lightning bolt, so yeah I reckon about 33% of my time is spent listening to pearl jam!!
PJ is my passion so I know it is necessary to keep things fresh with your passionate stuff. You cannot let it get into "Same old, same old" feeling. Nevertheless, too many new bootlegs came up during last 2 years, so it was PJ heavy listening for me. And I cannot stop listening to Euro-14 bootlegs, they're damn good. Other than PJ, I agree there is enough good music out there.
What's your part, who you are?

Way too much music to focus on one band, even if they are my favorite band of all time.
This. I'm probably still somewhere around 20% which is a ton. But as others have said I love music and there is a shit ton of great stuff out there. Still, I always come back to PJ
In a year's time, yes but I go in and out. I feel like these days most people are all about putting their music on shuffle but I can't do it, not between bands anyway. I go through spells where I only listen to one band at a time obsessively. I'm currently in a Mastodon period and I've literally been listening to them and only them every day for the last three months.

Dude, I've been on a Mastodon kick lately as well. So good, want to check them out live.

Bumping this old thread, since things have changed for me..
I was at 75% when I made this.. I'm at less than 25% now.. I love PJ just as much now, but have really found joy in exploring new stuff (even though some of it is actually pretty old)
I guess that's one effect of having to wait 6 years for a new PJ release..

20 years ago, it was probably 30% or more. 10 years ago, maybe 10-15%. Nowadays, easily less than 5%. Too many good bands to listen to, and most of them are actually releasing new music and doing things much more exciting than Pearl Jam.
