Good question. I am glad that I NEVER have had this happen yet, and I know it will…

Give them a few emails and if no response call them out on the boards. Nothing personal or slander.

I traded (A) for (B) to So and so and he/she didn't deliver.

    Simple and factual.

    Same here

Never had a problem yet. Everyone has been A+

But I agree, just post the situation if you don't get anywhere with the individual.

Hoping that the other party is just "Summer Busy." Tried contacting a few times to make sure their package arrived to them alright...

Of all the trades/purchases I have done, I have only come across one person I would never deal with again, but even then he/she remedied the situation eventually so it wasn't worth calling he/she out.

Having said that, had he/she not remedied the situation, I would have called him/her out cause otherwise I would feel like I am doing everyone here who is good to work with a disservice.

In the end, all we have is trust and honor on here, and if someone burns that, then I think everyone should know for their own good. It also keeps shady people in check.

    Just my thoughts.

I have traded with a dozen people here and only one person dissapointed my by selling a damaged print but that's it.

I have been on my end hesitant once or twice on a trade but like @scurtis‌ said, honor keeps us together.

I had one problem and it was me. I was getting stickers from someone in Europe and the person I was trading with sent me the stuff out he traded the stickers for. I never received the stickers in the mail.. apparently they got lost. I sent back the stuff he sent me.. I apologized out of my ass and he still said I was a waste of his time. But other than that, Everything has been good.

    good question....

Im presently in a tricky spot, with an old respected member of this board.

He has taken the money, gone quiet and hasn't communicated for around 4 weeks now.

what to do? out of time for a paypal claim (that's what trusting people does).....

A month? Might b time to call the person out. If they have been on the board a long time, they probably have been on the board in the last 4 weeks and are ignoring u. Your particular trade isn't my business, but the possibility of my trading with this person in the future is my concern.

I emailed the 'silence' last night and gave him 7 days to resolve.

I have no problem calling him out, but I'll let his time expire first and stick to what I say. Calling him out here will do no good for me, but if it saves others being given the run around then its a worthwhile exercise

I just started trading on here a few months ago and I have to say everyone has been great. No issues at all. Even when talks about a trade dissolves, everyone is very nice.

Good Luck, Paul. Hope it works out. Same to the OP. With me - I've never had a problem with anyone doing trades and holding tickets for me and me for them. Everyone on these boards has been A+ to deal with. Thanks to all.

I generally bank it away as a life lesson, never deal with that person again, and use whatever I learned as a takeaway of how to manage trades in the future. Then again, I've never traded anything super valuable and probably never will unless I can somehow establish that that individual is trusted.

However, will say that I haven't had any really bad experiences, probably a few close calls. I don't trade/buy/sell if I get a bad feeling from interacting with someone. Love my PJ goodies, but not that much to take a leap of faith on someone who seems shady.

PS sorry to hear, Paul. Hope it all works out.

My trade was agreed upon in July 12. Item I shipped delivered on July 17. Been emailing/messaging since then to make sure it arrived alright...haven't heard anything in return and haven't seen anything in the mail. Like I said, I'm hoping they are busy with the Summer...I'm not too keen on having to call someone out but would do it to possibly save others the hassle...

I'm in a similar spot, also hoping he/she has just been busy. Everyone on here has been so great to trade w/, really don't want the bad taste in my mouth from a bunk trade.

word of advice, I usually never do paypal as a gift unless I've worked with the other person before, it's worth it to add the extra dollar for some protection. Heard of people getting screwed and never getting the item they paid for.

That being said I've made a ton of trades and sales on here and never been screwed once, pj fans are the best.

Had great run with trading on boards, only PJ related person I have been burned by was Dayne Henry buying the Dallas Artist edition print from his website. Let the time limit go past on Paypal, will never let that happen again still have yet to see a print or any response to countless emails others and myself have sent him through every channel we could find to contact him.

Yeah...Dayne Henry. Still trying to track him down. I'm not the type of guy to show up on someone's door step but I'm almost at that point. I call him every couple of days to entertain myself and to remind him he still owes at least several people $52 each. If anyone else got burned by this asshole, please contact me. If anyone else wants to voice their displeasure with this thief he can be reached at (213) 785-7514. Don't worry, he won't answer and he sure as fuck won't call you back.

I don't use the gift option either, unless they are a well-known member with a proven track record. Then I'm cool with it. :)

There are a couple of prizes that I've won here and never received, but they weren't for raffles where I paid any money, so they were really just kindly proposed gifts that never appeared, so I never said a word about it and don't mind. But if you actually paid for raffle tickets and won the prize but never got it then that's definitely a reason to remind the person to send what you're owed IMO. :)

shit i hope it wasn't any of my fund-raisers on here ThePedro or PJ_Soul. I take pride in making sure everyone feels glad they participated so now I'm paranoid something got lost in the mail or something. If it's me, let me know and I will do what I can to fix it.

Lost Dogs has been nothing but happy and friendly trades for me. It may be a flippers paradise but it has been a great addition to the forums. Best PJ merch resource ever! Sad to see another couple of trades gone bad and I hope they get resolved. For the thousands that have taken place on here I've not heard that many bad ones as a percentage to be fair.
