Tell me if you're going for sure - we'll plan our trip together, and hopefully Noa can come too. (Roni - Noa's friend you met in Athens..)

    hey darling,
I can't come, not this time. I got no money (did you forget I'm flying to Poland next month? :)) and I'd rather wait a year or two and go see them in the US...

is this official? it seems unreasonable for them to do a single show in Poland and then go back home...

First I was really happy to have a pj show in Europe in 2007, but then I had to realize that I won't have enough time to work that much to earn enough money next to school to travel there... I wish there would be another central-east- Closer european show... Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Czech Republic or maybe Hungary!:)

Anyway I still wish to get money from somewhere (rob a bank) it would be an amazing evening with so many great people!

    Hey man!

There is a lot of time left to earn some money. Besides, you can borrow something from your friends as I did this year to see them in Prague.

Missing PJ concert is not very smart idea ;) Maybe you won't have another opportunity to see them or you'll have to wait long time for it..

..and money.. well... if you borrow, you'll give it back... someday :)

    Best,
    Tom

Hey, no problem! We'll bring some Karlovacko and Ozujsko! :)
  • Exciting!!

I get so nervous travelling abroad by myself though...... Language barriers & that, getting trains etc. *sigh* Maybe they'll be another European Touring Bus type scenario again?? Although not much of a tour if just one date...... So far! :D

i wonder if its all true. a couple years a go pearl jam was 'confrimed' for paris aswell. the never showed. there is only one show known right know, with tickets on sale soon.. Pearl jam isnt going to europe for just poland. there must b others, why havent they leaked. Tickets wil go on sale for all around the same time. so im stil very sceptical. need more dates.. need 10c confirmation
I change by not changing at all.

  • Don't worry - they'll come. Here in Poland our hearts beat faster since December, when we get the very first informations that the show will take place. Of course no one believed it back then, but 'a very reliable source' was 100% sure that it's gonna happen... Then we got few weeks of a complete silence and some people started to think that all this story about the show was just another gossip or a stupid joke... In the meantime the rumour apperead in all Polish newspapers, web portals, radio stations, tv - and they all were quoting the fansites :D

The promoter said that they've decided to confirm the show so early beacuse of this buzz, but I think the other reason was that they wanted to start the campaing and the ticket sale as soon as possible - it's a huge stadium, they need to reach a lot of people to fill it. Maybe they were just tired of waiting for 10c/PJ? Or maybe they want to sell more tickets in other countries while there's no info about any other show? They even mentioned in an official announcement that the whole tour will be very short, and the gig in Poland is the only one in this part of Europe.

Anyway, you can be sure that this show is going to happen. They are too far in it to go back...

P.S. How do you like the site? Let me know what more you would like to see there.

Hey Bartek, great site. If the show is gonna happen, I'm sure I will visit Poland for the first time in my life. I would like to have some info on public transport from Katowice Airport to Katowice City and from there to the stadium (btw is it located at ul. katowicka 10?) Maybe you could add that? What about taxis in Poland? Are they expensive?

    Thanx!

Hi PearlJamBob! I am also a polish native (but live in Austria) with family from tomaszow mazowiecki!
@ Bartek: I also would like to have this t-shirt, any hint where i can buy it?
  • roubalroubal Posts: 82
You can't buy 'em anymore. We're out of them. The only way to get one is to convince someone to give you theirs. Seduce them, get them drunk, bribe them, whatever. ;) I gave one of my t-shirts (had two) to an American guy met in Prague, who promised to wear it during Bridge School shows. :)
  • Has anyone else noticed that livenation.pl has changed the event listing for the gig? It no longer gives any specifics, just now basically saying that the details will be announced soon.

I know I've been very supportive with your trip to Poland, and I still think it's one of the most important things you'll have a chance of doing in high-school... but common!! A PJ concert!!! And the price is sooooooo reasonable. I'm sure we can work something out... What about Nico's suggestion? ;)

And that doesn't mean we won't go tour the US.. there's pleanty of time.
It's okay, you know I love you anyway

That's odd, but perhaps there were too many ticket bookings and they still didn't print them and can't send them out. They clearly said the show was announced earlier than they expected, because of all the press leaks. Don't worry folks, it is all as legit and true as can be.

Edited: someone has called the promoter, they told they have some website problems, nothing's changed.

My friend just told me that PJ are now NOT going to play at the Pinkpop festival in the Netherlands. It had been confirmed, but the organiser has now said they had to pull out. Apparently there is a baby due end of May.

i think someone posted this last week sometime... when is Pink Pop anyway?

and if the baby is due end of may then that might cause problems for June gigs as most babies arrive late!
