1am is the last train, departing from Katowice station.

If you need to see it for yourself, here's the link:

Just put in Katowice and Krakow Glowny as the stations.

The promoter finally spoke about the reasons of having Linkin Park opening for PJ. They said they had been trying to get LP to play in Poland for a long time, and when the band finally agreed, the only possible date was the PJ date. That's when they decided to invite them as "special guests", which is nothing more than just a little bit longer opening act.

    As for the schedule:
The gates open at 3pm (the football match between Polish fans and the Rest of the World will be played in a park near Slaski Stadium at about midday. ;)

Coma, or Polish Creed if you like, starts at 6pm (personally I find them much better than Creed, their lyrics suck, but the music isn't pure crap; if you don't understand Polish, you might actually enjoy them)

    Linkin Park starts at 7.15pm

    PJ starts at 9pm

As you see, Linkin Park won't play for much longer than one hour.
3 hours between opning gate and teh first band  they want our death do they?!
normally gates would open near 6 for PJ to take the stage that late!

    Hey,

will there be barriers dividing the crowd (just behind 10C members) or is the only advantage that you'll be allowed in 15mins early??

even if there is a barrier (would be great, and considering the size probably needed), it won't be just for 10c(wasn't in Dublin, or Prague, last year).

But of a dilemma isn't it? Go in at three 15 mins early with 10c tickets and get a good spot but have to wait 6 hours before PJ. Or go in later and risk being somewhere near the back 'cause someone put a barrier in the middle of the ground those crazy poles.

But, why would they bother giving you a wristband then??

The wristband is so you can go into the "pit" area anytime you like.

At least I hope it works that way for this gig!!

can tell you didn't do any show without a barrier last year...if you come late, you'll be at the back no matter what...

the wristbands were only to let the security know you had the right to go in 15mn earlier.
everywhere there was a second pit, there also was a second wristband for that. (I'd forgotten Berlin..I didn't get a 10c for that but got into the front pit)

Hmmm. Wonder what time the Munich bus comes in. Unlikely to make the start of the fan football game, but man, Aussie representing, yeah!

Everyone who is involved in the game is going to be on the Munich bus, so don't worry. :) We should arrive in Chorzow around midday.

As for the pit barriers - some say they are planned, some they are not. Waiting for 6 hours at the front won't be a memorable experience...

This is going to be a pretty common question:

For those of us coming in on the bus from Munich, does anyone know if there's a cloak room at the stadium where we can drop off our backpacks?
    Same question here.

So this is why nobody's speaking about the afterparty, it feels like "gonna blow it all this time, take me one last ride..." :D
But if there's anybody for the afterparty or just for staying in some pub till dawn (we need to wait for early train in the morning), surely can join us. Or someone knowing where to go after the gig?

BTW coma sounds quite interesting (I've listen to Zaprzepaszczone siły wielkiej armii świętych znaków), but I would change them for one more PJs encore for sure ;)

That's their only album I know. It translates into something like "Wasted forces of the great army of sacred signs". Don't ask. The title gives you a preview of what's on it, lyrically. ;)

Can any of the lovely Polish who have been at gigs in this stadium tell us if they had wristbands for the pit area.

Are you able to leave the pit area and then return when you want.

This has been the way for all the gigs I've been to.

    Cheers.

This is off-topic..but I was in Poland two weeks ago...in Krakow..it is a beautiful city..and while we were driving towards the city really early in the morning..I suddently saw a traffic sign for Katowice..I was fully awake and it really got me all pumped up (although I'm not going) :D I even took a photo of it..

(Ok, I don't think I did myslef a favour here..but just wanted to share this with someone who'd possibly understand..hehe..plus I am a bit bored..)
