Interesting article, but where is the point that high-capacity magazines or assault weapons should not be in the hands of the public as a preventative measure.

You think Mitch was having some thoughts about heading back to Washington and the NRA sent some heavies to keep him in Kentucky?

Yeah, me neither. He just wasn’t looking where he was going

“Leader” should be stricken from his Twitter handle. Thanks Moscow Mitchy Baby for your leadership.

Yeah, just caught the end of the story on CNN. I don’t believe video games are the culprit. As an aside, I was out & about in 3 different areas of NYC today, the increased police presence was very noticeable.

Video games are pretty violent. So are tv and movies. Likely could do better. But probably not the time for the conversation. And they’d be about 100-101 on the list of things to talk about

Mag limits would be a great place to start.  I think we can all agree that there is no need for a thirty rounder.
I like the idea of getting a firearms ID card and some sort of training before first time purchase of a firearm.
    Extensive background checks, etc.

i hope both sides can sit down with each other and attempt something.
    Or:

COPY "Some sane european gun laws"

He's right, you're just mad you can't refute his message so you attack him.
No he’s just a jerk. Just cause he’s right from time to time doesn’t change that.
Jerk because I'm telling a blatant truth?

Yeah... ok... better that than being awfully wrong but not "a jerk"

Guns are the how.  Not the why.  But we should get rid of the how while trying to figure out the why.

On CNN now, Dayton shooter had a troubled past, was taken out of high school because he had a Kill list and a Rape list.  Red flags that were most likely overlooked.

“There must be some reason other than guns that explains why the US has such a gun violence problem” is a story that the American population tells itself. As long as that story persists, the problem won’t be solved.

Oh you know, boys will be boys. They need their fuck things and boom boom things to compensate for the lack of boom the ladies notice. Poor misunderstood souls. Maybe a little more Jesus in their life would have helped.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Okay. Guns and gun owners, then.

    You made that pretty easy.
