    If the “vast majority” of gun owners are “responsible,” how is it that so many people who shouldn’t have them, get them, and why does the NRA and repubs protect those “responsible” gun owners from being held accountable?

    Well this time it was definitely a benefit. All I know is, if this event happens in N.J. or New York then we are mourning a hell of a lot more people today.

    Every gun begins as a legal gun and every legal gun owner begins as a “responsible” gun owner. You said so yourself. Now, when that “responsible” gun owner is irresponsible, rarely are they held accountable, unless they’re the actual trigger person and are caught or killed. I’ll ask you again, if “the vast majority” of gun owners are responsible, how is it that so many people who shouldn’t have guns, have them or get them?

    Well, somehow survived 2019 without a gun.  I do not know how I did it.  Was it dumb luck that I survived?  Somehow I was able to have hundreds of meals without shooting an animal for meat.  I went to sleep 364 nights (worked one all nighter) and never once felt the urge to reach to the drawer beside the bed because I heard a noise.  I am nervous about 2020.  Even though I have had 38 successful years of surviving without a gun, I feel like my luck will run out.  

    Oh wait, I realized why I don’t have a gun.  I am not a scared little boy in a grown up man’s body.

    I used to live in Baltimore City where the "celebratory" gunfire on NYE was so bad the police didn't respond to gunfire reports and didn't leave their cars because of it
