Wow, just read the Police abuse thread and was pretty sad to see so much of it on the Pearl Jam forums.

Then I found this thread. Thank-you to those of you who can look at individual and not just a profession. Labelling an entire profession because of a few is just as bad a racism. Let judge others based on who they are not who they work with.

The bad cop threads and cop hate threads are almost as popular on these boards as the Republican hate threads and the anti Israel, terrorist apologist threads. So enjoy the biased reading.

You are correct. Although tempered somewhat at the moment... I would say that the cop hate threads are far more popular than the anti Israel threads which, for the most part, are driven by the work of a few representing both sides of the issue.

Take it outside, boys. That's not what this thread is for.

All of it. Wanting accountability in police does not equal hatred of police, just like wanting accountability in foreign policy doesn't make one a terrorist apologist, neither does wanting accountability in Israeli policy make one anti-Israel.
Accountability, I thought that was one of your favorite principles.

Republicans can be pretty easy to hate when they continually say the sorts of things Huckabee, Santorum, Limbaugh, Levin, etc say.

Sorry ident, that's not how this place works. We not only post stories, we discuss them. This place is a moving train after-all, not a stationary one.

An example of stellar policing by a force local to where I live. This individual shot twice at police and they handled it remarkably. Everyone lived out the day, he's in custody, no bystanders were hurt.
