Finally seeing this band live for the first time tonight, in Bloomington, IL.  First time going to this venue too, excited it's small.  Can't even remember last small venue show I've been to.
Headed there now, can't wait to see these guys live!
What did you think of the show?  I liked TWOD a lot, the end of the show was sort of weird though.  They've been playing a short encore every show but didn't last night.  It seemed like the stage manager was telling them they had to stop and signaled sound board show was over really abruptly. Other venue staff told me they had another 20-30 min to play easily if they wanted to.  Oh well, very good show anyway!
No time to be void or save up on life, you gotta spend it all.

I thought they were excellent and I really liked the opener Lo Moon as well. Yeah, I thought it ended weird too, was surprised they didn't come back for encore especially since it was their last show of the year and this leg of their tour. Under the Pressure really blew me away. Only 2 complaints: 1. This teenage kid next to me farted a lot and it was bad. 2. Walked under a tree on the way to the car and a slug fell down the back of my shirt. Lol!

Just getting into these guys. Just bought A Deeper Understanding and really like it. Took it on a day drive with my wife and daughter. Look forward to delving into it further and cranking it up a bit. Hadn’t really heard a lot of their stuff to be honest. Basically bought it off reviews, word of mouth, and reading this thread in the board. Top album!

Saw they won a grammy and read this entire thread so decided to listen to preview tracks and some youtubes of their music.
It all seems the same to me, each song has the same sound. Not sure if I can get into them.

Fourth or fifth listen of Deeper Understanding and really starting to get into it. That’s what I find appealing about great music / albums....they don’t jump out at you at first. The best ones burn away slowly into your brain.

Hence, my initial "cool" comment!  I'm all for freedom of expression, but this is a thread of fans of the band.  If your only comment is that you're not really into it, why post here?  I'm not offended or upset, but it's just odd.  Or, "cool" that someone would take the time to comment on a band they're not really into.

Well right...thats sort of my point.  You can’t get into a band we are into?  Cool.  Unless youre asking us to make a case to convince you, Im not sure why youd bring it up here.  Just strange.  No offense taken, so no apology needed, but you told us twice that you couldn’t get into them.  Not rude, not hostile, just...strange.

Look, don’t take it personal. But unless you wanted to be convinced to like the band, what would be the point of sharing that information?  To let us know that you don’t like them?  As I said, cool.  Thanks for sharing.  But your comment was sort of the equivalent of walking up to strangers at a table in a bar, all wearing the same band shirt, telling them that “you tried to like band but cant get into them,” and then being surprised when no one really wants to talk with you.    If there was a point, other than just sharing your individual opinion, Im failing to see it here in a thread about a band people like.  I dont really want to debate this anymore.  It was a strange thing to say in this context and thread.  Im not mad or offended but you should be equally unsurprised why some found the comment odd.

GREAT show last night in Milwaukee.  They played more off of LITD that ADU.  The sound was really good and the venue was cool; there were seated and standing sections.  Everything was GA.  You could pick between seats or the GA area up front, which was really small.  We stood about 7 rows back in the GA section.  Great view all night.  Excellent versions of Best Night, Thinking of a Place and Under The Pressure.

I saw them at p4k on Saturday. Solid show. Played well. Wasn't blown away though.

I streamed some of it and thought they sounded good.  Last night in MKE they sounded really loose, like they were having fun.  Most I’ve heard Adam talk at a show.

Trying to get to one of the secret shows in Philly at the end of December. A few friends are going in on tix. If anyone would be interested in any extras that we may get (probably a long shot), let me know.
