I just got back from weekend one. This is a great festival. What a blast. So much great music in such a short time. Amazing.

You can easily catch Lorde and PJ. Keep in mind that the schedules are tight and the bands start on time. PJ will come on within a few minutes of Lorde finishing.

if you wait that long, you will not be getting that close to PJ.

I had plenty of space where I was, but it seemed like people behind us (somewhere) had formed a "Thou Shall Not Pass" coalition by around 730-735 (and I thank them for it).

Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

I'm cool being far away from the stage this time around. I've been close in GA three times over the last two years and this weekend is more about the overall experience for me. I'll try to get close again next time I have GA.

I arrived at 5pm (PJ hit the stage at 8) and was able to be about 8 rows from the front, centered with MM. I can tell you that you really have to be friendly with your neighbors to last that long with people constantly trying to get up closer. After the replacements played (6-7) the people around me got VERY annoyed with anyone trying to pass...as did I.
It was well worth the stay considering the Replacements were great, but I can tell you be prepared with food and beverage if you plan on camping out. It's quite the challenge to leave and retain your spot...even with friends. It was a 5 1/2 hour commitment (somehow without bathroom breaks) but it was for certain worth it for a lifetime PJ fan.

Great weekend. The Replacements were the band of the weekend IMO but PJ wasnt far behind. We got lucky with the weather. Coolest temps for any ACL ive been to.

Chvrches, Benjamin Booker, Jimmy Cliff --all terrific.

Next weeks fest is calling for 93 degree temps and thunderstorms. So anyone thats going be prepared!

Hey i obviously love PJ but the Replacements are one of the greatest rock bands ever and they killed it with their performance. Most influential band at the festival this year.

Change of plans...Sunday wristband for sale! I think it was $90 or $100 when I bought it...so I am asking $80 and charging $20 for the shipping. I am EXPRESS mailing it through USPS. I can overnight it but will need to get an exact amount. My goal is to sale this, not make $ from shipping. I am not sure on the cost of Express Mail but figure $20 should be close...?

    Let me know!

    Unregistered Sunday Wristband!

    Bands that killed it:

Skrillex, Major Lazer, Foster The People, PJ, Gas Light Anthem, The Replacements, Iggy, AFI.
Special mention to Beck, He put the best performance that I have ever seen him do at this show. He absolutely killed it.
    Bands that did not:

Eminem Lip Synched the whole show… Very Disappointing. Chvrches, Outkast (from what I heard.

Wow i thought Chvrches were great.

    My picks.....
    The best-- The Replacements
    2nd best--- PJ

Benjamin Booker and Chvrches are my #3 and 4

I found Gaslight Anthem disappointing this time. Loved them at ACL'10. Iggy was the worst thing to happen to this years bill.

The base was hitting hard when she played. I'm a sucker for the base. It's all about that base, no treble…

It was my first time seeing GLA and I enjoyed them. It must have been hard to play in front of mostly camped out PJ fans?

    Did you catch Beck?

I don't understand the love for Gaslight Anthem. Saw them one time and the music seemed repetitive.

really looking forward to the Chvrches late show on Friday.

Lyrics are pretty great in a lot of the songs, but you have to kind of study up to know what they are. Very Pearl Jammy that way. :)

Cool. I liked the first half of the show and then it seemed like every tune was a mid-tempo rocker. I am sure it is an onion that needs to be peeled back.
