I am very conflicted about all of this. Part of me feels like what it seems like you are feeling. The other part of me sees this administration as the worst possible collection of numbskulls we could ever imagine putting our faith in to deal with it. Cutting CDC funding, firing scientists, lying about everything etc etc etc. I think the numbers are a lot higher than what is being reported because they have barely started testing people. WHO came out and said the mortality rate was over 3%....the next day Trump says he has a "hunch" it's below 1%. That's really my concern--the fact that I don't have any faith or trust in the people at the highest level of our government to keep us safe.F Me In The Brain said:Cliffy6745 said:

Plus....my mother in law is battling lung cancer and my nephew has asplenia so their immune systems are fucked anyway. I'm not concerned with me getting it but, rather, me not realizing I have it and transferring it to them. Wife and I are supposed to go to Cabo in a few weeks too. Little concerned!www.myspace.com0 -
I think it is going to get pretty bad. It doesn’t seem like it’s really possible to contain. Basically takes two weeks to double. Think about how fast it went from a city in China to the entire globe. I understand it’s not airborne but it clearly spreads insanely fast. The Juggler said:

Little concerned!I do think the mortality rate is under 1% though. The number of positives is so much higher than we know. Like you though, my mother in law has health issues too so definitely at risk. And not on the health side, my mom is starting her timeline to retire, what’s going to happen to her money if this gets worse on the economy.
An article in the Atlantic from a week or so ago is basically predicting that 40-70% of people will get it. Obviously a massive range and said a ton of people won’t even know they have it, but it will be widespreadObviously have no faith in the administration either. Gonna be an interesting few months. I don’t think it’s bad that companies are playing it safe.0 -
