I remember having a couple of the Clifford books when i was a kid. I think one was him joining the circus or something like that.

I know right? The first thing I thought of was "how long has this show been on"? By the way, it's been on since 1995 and Bryant Gumbel hasnt missed one in all that time.

My next question was is Gumbel still doing it. Holy shit. Will check out
anyone gonna try for the eddie solo shows? i might trh for Newark. that's doable since it's the closest and i think it's on a Saturday.

Kinda looking forward to this short overnight jaunt to NYC. Got a res at the Hotel Beacon within spitting distance of the theater for a decent price. Just want to pull the trigger on some Amtrak tix as soon as I get word by the 6th. Pretty solid band backing him up, so I'm pumped if it all works out.
Ahhhh. Well I will do the same and they'll have fun. Mine is just trying to work out her work travel schedule for early next year, but assume she'll be able to go
Sounds about right. I mentioned it and she didn't care to talk about it. I can't imagine it's more than 3k.
Tickets non-transferrable? Guess secondary market wouldn't be an option if so, and with the prices, assume it'd be outrageous anyway
Never been. Sounds like The Tower.
I thought they were transferrable. I read that specifically in NY and Chicago it's required by law, too. Plus there's a Tickemaster fan-to-fan exchange, so no idea how that works. But yeah, sounds liked buying a ticket for an even exorbitant amount of money is out. Would just have to figure out exchange.
It feels smaller than The Tower to me and is MUCH nicer. Have been to a few shows there...Eddie the first go around. Allmans on their "last" run at the Beacon which didn't end up being their last run, but saw them with Trey and that was pretty sweet

I think the show is on a Sunday night. That's probably the best day of the week to drive up to Newark from Philly area.

I laughed at the price. I'm not paying that for Eddie and The Earthlings unless I know where my seats are. Wouldn't mind paying double if I'm buying great seats. For below average? Yeahhhhh. Will see as it gets closer if I can StubHub. If they are still blocking ticket snobs I'll probably sit this one out.
$250 each. Eddie would seriously hate himself. (And, I get it, getting older, not selling any records, etc....but Jesus Fuck. Crazy.)
WOD tixx selling for $40 or $50 at The Met and $250 for Vedder solo - nah.

Different weekends.
Speaking of overrated. Anybody catch this Beatles bullshit on Disney+ that people won't shut the fuck up about? Pretty sure those 150+ hours that was "whittled" down to like 8 could have easily been 1.

Spank bank material for a lot of people, it sounds like. I am mildly interested, but honestly more interested in the HBO music docs that have been coming out. Woodstock, Jagged Little Pill and DMX.
Yeah, it's not great. Waiting 90 minutes to see a crescendo in angst and frustration between George, Paul, and John is terrible. I feel like I'm pot-committed at this point in finishing it out, but good god. I think all the parts I liked so far could be summed up in about 25 minutes - George bitching that Paul doesn't listen to him, John being the mom to George in an argument with Paul, watching Paul come up with the bones of Get Back on the spot. Only other part that is good is the bigger picture of seeing how it all came apart - Paul is a genius and really wants the band as his own, Yoko yoko'ing the whole thing, George really getting into the Hari Krishna scene and having an inferiority complex, Ringo just always along for the ride.
Ya know who wouldn't put up with this any of this shit? Brian Wilson.
HBO docs are rad - Woodstock one was awesome. Really want to see the Alanis and DMX ones.

Right...so basically what we've always known, just in their voices, and I have seen the Get Back part about 75783 times on Twitter to date. I may or may not check it out.
hahhahahahahah. Beach Boys > Beatles
Good stuff, yeah, all 3 on HBO are more of a priority for me.

At least it's only a 1 year deal.
Now about to dive into a lockout with just a stellar lineup ready to finish 3rd or 4th.
