We eat about 1-2+ pounds of Salmon a week usually.  Usually get a big old guy and have it for dinner then use it for salad as a lunch the next day

  • So what's everyone's thoughts here on the Braves? Pulling for them? I have to admit, when I was a kid, I always cheered for them when they were in the playoffs and World Series except in 1992 and 1993. Like a lot of their players. And I still wouldn't mind if they got through these days and made the World Series. Little NL East love.

For the matter, I very much cheered for the Marlins in their two World Series. And as a Dolphins fan, I always felt a bit of kinship. But I said from day one when I was 9-years-old that they should've been the Miami Marlins and not the Florida Marlins. They both start with an M and that's cool for a sports team name. Can't believe it took them so long to figure out. Actually...I can believe it.

While we're at it and I'm in baseball mood this postseason, I even have some love for those asshole Mets. Always loved the history (1962, 1969, 1986 of course), love the Seinfeld connection, Lenny Dykstra's my all-time favorite player, and really, at my height of baseball fandom (early 90's), they were like looking in the mirror to us Phillies fans. We were them and they were us.

The Nationals could fuck right off. Long live the Expos!

I liked those early 90's Braves teams...right up until 1993. After that, they're like the Dallas Cowboys of baseball to me. Plus one of my best friends is, inexcusably, a Braves fan so I'm always putting up with his bullshit.

This remains one of my all time favorite baseball moments though

I want a World Series title to always be in the other league and as far away as possible from the Philadelphia area, if it's not the Phillies winning.

What's the asterisk for? Other than playing in the one of the worst divisions in league history that year.

Please don't say it's because it's the first year after the strike.

Believe it was a slightly shortened season, like 140 games. Might've been some scab players too to start the year? That part I'm guessing on.

Oh that's right, it was shortened a bit. I personally wouldn't put an asterisk on it for that though.

Eh, 1995 Braves won the championship fair and square. I think the scabs only played in spring training.

Dave, the tomahawk chop is everything - it's all they do, and it's patently ridiculous and something else that starts with "r".
