It was not fun, I’ll tell you that.

JP—you got Quick Ball in your neck of the woods? My nephew is in one of those leagues this year. I think it’s before they get to tee ball. It’s insane. Kids are running all over the place. It looks like the most disorganized thing in the world but the kids are at lest engaged...somewhat.

Damn. I have not. These are 3 and 4 year olds, but I just gave it a look and this is totally going to play into our practices. And full disclosure: I have NEVER coached anything before this, so it's quite the sight to see I'll tell you that, between the kids rolling around in bushes and me trying to act like some kind of upstanding teacher like doofus.

The NL east is a lot like the NFC east so far. All teams are like within 2 games of each other.

go Phills! Hopefully the bats wake up soon
First place with a record of 13-13. Our run differential is one of the worst ones in the league. Ironically, Miami has the best and they are in last place but like a game and a half behind us.

@Cliffy6745 got more news about Sabrina's. They're not closing their other locations, just this one due to the creep landlord raising the rent.

Yeah I think I did see they’re looking for a new location in the area. That’s good news for sure

Phils playing on the projector on the roof deck, swinging in the hammock smoking some PA legal smeeze, and drinking some beers on an absolutely bee you tee full night. Cheers, all.

Gotta respect that - 40 pitches, 5 outs, squeezing by umpires, bad fielding - still gets the job done.

Nice 3 for 3 by our Philly teams last night!!!

Opening is not dependent on the 70%, just the mask mandate, right? That is how I am reading it.

Also, 70% of who? 70% of all people is almost impossible since kids aren't able to get vaccinated yet. 12-15 year-olds starting next week it looks like. 70% of adults might be doable.

EDIT: Has to be 70% of 18 & Older population.

As of Tuesday morning, slightly more than 50% of the state’s entire population, including children, had received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine.

Right, 70% for mask mandate, 70% of the population. Yes, including children, which is one piece. But we're not getting to 70% even after kids inevitably get vaxed.

Pretty sure it's their way of communicating that mask and social distancing policy aren't changing for a while. Kids 2 and under, of course, aren't instructed to wear masks.

I will say, I don't think we'll get to herd immunity ever regardless, which isn't necessarily downright terrible. It'll just take a bit longer to get this under wraps, because you'll need to ramp up tracking in some way so you can do more isolating and quarantines.

Yeah, I mean I gotta think there's more people India that want these vax's we're sitting on than the knuckledraggers actively refusing living here. Ship those vials off.

They have vaccinated about 3% of the population in India, I believe. It's sadly a totally different situation. Of course, it's all one world and we need to help them out however we can.

The main message is for those who don't get vaxed, when everyone throws away their masks this is gonna be really dangerous for those people, but that is their choice.

Delco is at 44% of 18+ fully vaccinated, but that doesn't include those with their first shots (hi!) and the map says 7% of PA vaccines haven't specified the county: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/covid-19-vaccine-doses.html

Ah, just read the press release. That's stupid and dumb. But regardless I still don't think we're getting there. Overall the state with at least one shot is 50%, I don't see us making up a 20% gap - definitely not by May 31st, I wouldn't even think by the end of the year. The plateau is coming, if not already here.

It's 50ish% of total population - not of adults, so we don't have a 20% gap.

True. Still not getting there, and if anything makes it that much more dumb and reckless. I know you're very much into the Darwin Awards for all this, though, which....you're not wrong to some extent.
