    The signature panel looks a little cluttered to me too, with the band name, Ed's signature & the Limited Edition / unit series number all smashed together in the middle of the panel!!
    It's kind of confusing to my eyes!!

    I COMPLETELY agree with you D...
    That 2nd one looks much better & is so much easier on the eyes!!!
    And they could've put the band name next to the rest of the engraved script.

    must have been an explanation for the decision but its one we are never going to know.

    The first photos just looked so much better.

    To each his own, but I just don't get how these things with laser-engraved sigs are so highly sought after. If the original wood box was hand signed then yeah. I guess I'm missing the boat on these?

    The way I looked at it, it's something I've been looking for (a high/full quality portable player) and if it's something I'm going to be using for for years, then I'll spring for the PJ version.

    On a side note, has anybody else not received their shipping confirmation yet?

    Still waiting for a shipping confirmation as well. In Ohio. The odd thing is that someone over at the Pono forums said all LEs were manufactured and shipped at the same time. So all PJ LE Ponos were made and shipped, but not everyone got a shipping confirmation.

    Hmm, that's a problem, cuz I dont want this item flying freely in the hands of UPS without being able to track it.

    They all were? My bro bought a PJ Pono Player as well but hasn't yet received a UPS shipping confirmation. Checked his account over @ https://ponomusic.force.com/ and it hasn't been shipped yet.

    I also bought a black Pono Player (early bird score) but haven't yet received a shipping confirmation for that one.

    Still waiting for confirmations for the PJ and NY ones I ordered to Springboro, OH. Maybe Ed and Neil will be delivering mine at the same time, and that's why they don't want to ruin the surprise. Just like when Sid Crosby personally delivered some season tickets to some people in Pittsburgh couple months ago.

    UPS called. 256 Pono units in one bulk shipment from China are being held pending customs release. Apparently they are awaiting some additional paperwork from the US receiver ("Ivanhoe"). The only thing they said that bothered me is that it could take up to 30 business days :-(

    Originally my # was 4. Contact The PonoMusic Team months back via Kickstarter & Pono Music Store.That's what they said. Messages between us are saved in our accounts. Looks like the members of Pearl Jam just had to purchase one & take the first 5 numbers. :P
