Here we go, headed to the Clarkston Union now, then showing up at DTE around 8:00. Should be good timing to walk in and see SG shortly after
I had the same thought about getting to my seat around 8 and missed over 20 minutes of Soundgarden's set... My friend and I were sitting in my car in the parking lot drinking beers and heard Spoonman. I couldn't believe how early they went on.
Same here, heard spoon man from the parking lot, and started heading in. What I did hear sounded great though, Rusty Cage, My Wave were awesome. NIN was incredible though. Loved the stage setup. I was nice and fucked up by then, so I was really enjoying them.

Good to know. I find my tix! Live nation had 'em, the bastards! Sec 9R seems pretty good to me. Wasn't planning on getting there early definitely will now.
If anybody can help me out, I am trying to find out which artist did the Soundgarden specific poster for the DTE Energy show in Clarkston MI. on 7/26. I cant find it anywhere on any of the poster sites yet. I am not talking about the two Brad Klausen posters. Soundgarden had one of their own for that show that had seahawk heads as the boarder, with Soundgarden at the top and what sorta looked like tiki heads. Thats all i can rememeber from it. It was a show specific poster, not multiple or tour.
Can someone who is a big NIN fan answer my question:
Back in the 90's I was a huge NIN fan. They were in my top 4-5 bands for sure. Over the years my fan level certainly decreased, but I've always dug his stuff. But there are gaps in my NIN knowledge for sure.
Last night towards the middle/end of their set, there was a song that had an ungodly amount of bass in it. Like bone rattling bass, for real. I am wondering what it was. Here is the setlist, and in bold are the songs I think it might have been. Can anyone confirm which song it definitely was?

I could've sworn back around the Chris Cornell's "Scream" time, there was a poster here claiming he plagiarized her manuscripts. Anyone else remember this? I'm wondering if it is the same person.
Went last night. Was a great show. Had an amazing time. Both bands sounded great. Was a little bummed to not have Matt there. But Jimmy Chamberlin filled in nicely.
set list from Camden. looks pretty decent, glad to see they are somewhat mixing up their set lists

What time has SG been taking the stage? I have a party in South Jersey on saturday the morning of the PNC show, so I'm curious when i need to bail that to make it... Also, how hard/long was the will call lines?

If I had to guess based on that setlist and the songs you highlighted I would say Great Destroyer (off of Year Zero). That album in general has a lot of bass. Pretty similar setlist to the Toronto show except they played "Me, I'm Not" (also off Year Zero) which is even heavier in the bass.

Do you mind if I ask where your seats were? We were in the lower bowl (entrance D) and ppl were acting like Soundgarden was an unknown opening band. I was literally the only person in my row standing up and the ppl behind me were talking Shit about me doing so (without ever actually asking me not to, so I ignored her.) When NIN came on things went as expected until the end of the set. As far as the show, it was awesome. NIN was on point, really really good. That camera thing they did with Trent's face during the beginning of closer was awesome. Soundgarden played a really nice set too. When Cornell's mike acted up they handed him a new one right away and he carried on without missing a beat. Made me think of how angry I've seen Ed get when his equipment falters. It was weird seeing SG play the first couple songs to a half empty stadium & I think they felt it too. Still a really solid set. Last time I saw them there Cornell went way out into the crowd this time he was doing a good job of energizing the front section.
Highly recommend this show if you can catch it. But get in your seat by 730 if you wanna see Soundgarden's whole set.
^ I was in orch H 2nd row....pretty much middle right behind the VIP sections. , in front of mixing board. I think the girl gave me better seats, I was expecting to be all the way on Kim's side. Good seats
I saw the same when Soundgarden played, lotta people playing with their phones sitting down. I've come to expect this these days, people go to shows for different reasons. I think lots go to take cell phone video all night and try to be cool with a co-worker or a chick the next day or something. It's a shame cause SG is a really great band.
Chris talking about how they like dark music and how the world is still fucked up but everyone seems to be in a good mood was funny.
