    That would be a mistake.

NIN is far superior to soundgarden in concert. I love both bands, but NIN is the headliner of these two bands.
I agree that NIN is superior to Soundgarden, although, NIN have been notorious for not playing last with co-headlining tours. They did that with Jane's Addiction in 2009, which luckily, I already knew a month before the show that they would play before JA: I did read a number of reviews from fans that were pissed off because they had no idea that NIN weren't playing last and missed the majority of their set, if not, all of it. And NIN did it again with Queens of the Stone Age during their Australia/New Zealand in 2014 because of that coin toss.

If you want to go by lights and pyrotechnics then NIN gets the nod there, but that is as far as it goes for me. From a musician standpoint, Soundgarden is vastly superior in that department. I have seen both acts more than once; I last saw NIN in 2009 - way too much audio piping and programming (something that Trent does a lot) for my taste. You definitely get a show!

Soundgarden actually plays their instruments, and plays them awesomely well. Stone called them "the Rush of Seattle" and for good reason; they are that fucking good. No yes men playing in Soundgarden.

We are going to the Toronto show next month; it's going to be a blast!

    Since when NIN use pyros?!

Serious note: I will be at that Toronto show as well. I was about to buy a seat in Section 102, Row G, but at the last second, I decided to look in the 200 Level and I got Section 202, Row G and chose that instead: I think I will like like that more than in the 100 Level due to the view and possibly better sound. Soundgarden are known to not have the best sound for shows as I was at their first of their two shows at Sound Academy last year and I was barely able to hear Chris' voice and I was at the rail, right in front of Kim. The good news is that I do have my ticket at home, so I don't need to line-up for will call as a result. I'm glad NIN will play last though: save the best for last. But that's I prefer NIN over Soundgarden is just my opinion. By the way, do you know who's opening for them? I know Death Grips will be the opening act for most shows but they will not open for them in Toronto.

P.S: About a month before their announcement, I was thinking of buying a ticket for Bruno Mars and special guest Pharell Williams at the Air Canada Centre on July 27, which is his 2nd show and also when NIN and Soundgarden will play at Molson Amphitheatre, but I decided not to as I felt it was too expensive and far from the stage. I'm glad I didn't do it because I never thought NIN/Soundgarden would play that same night.

Is anyone going to Soundgarden at Webster hall tomorrow? TM screwed me in the public sale so I will be watching ticket prices on scumhub. Yes, I've just made that phrase up to match with ticketbastard.

What happened? Didn't have a Citi card or lost the tickets in the middle of that transaction?

I had a Citi card but I was never able to pull up tickets. It went straight so "sorry no tickets are available" straight from "go" time.

Well they are playing in a smaller venue in a huge city at a low price. So that wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people failed to get some, even with trying just one.

I'm excited for this show! Seeing it in Michigan next month. Huge SG fan, not a big NIN fan. But respect their talent a lot and am looking forward to seeing what their live show is about!

    Hi there!
Soundgarden will be playing in Utrecht, Netherlands on June 10 and I'm hoping to attend the show. Any chance anyone has a spare or knows of one floating around? Figure this show will be a great appetizer for PJ's Amsterdam shows several days later!

    Cheers!

FY, opening band Death Grips just put out a new album for free.

I don't know if you Soundgarden fans may enjoy it (Its probably more up a NIN fans alley), but its pretty stellar stuff.

I never really got into NIN though. I thought I might when I saw their Grammy performance (Copy of A??), but then I listened to the song and realized the parts I liked most (like the guitar part Josh Homme played) were only in there for that specific performance. I'll probably stick around for some of their set at least though, but I'm only really going to the show for Soundgarden.

  • Would anybody be interested in 2 tickets to the RedRocks show on Monday, July 21? They are Row 29, seats 80 & 81. I bought two sets at fanclub presale and I'm using the 2nd set, so these are up for grabs. But because they're fanclub seats, we would have to meet and pick them up at will call together because according to the email instructions I received, I have to stay inside the venue once I pick up the tickets....Email me at moonbeampainter@gmail.com if you're interested...

    Oneohtrix fucking sucked. Just noise.

Soundgarden had a good set, but they kinda got a little tired toward the end...
