Completely forgot that I joined their fan club the last time they came through Michigan, so I just got that e-mail. Will be right in front of my computer on Monday. I wonder how good the fan club tickets will be.

It's a pretty strict ticket policy - have to present ID, have your entire party with you to get the tickets, and then have to go directly into the event. The e-mail said 4 ticket limit, but their website says 2 max, and more than that may cancel your order.
7/19/13 - Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL

    10/12/13 - Buffalo, NY
    10/16/2014 - Detroit, MI
    5/10/2016 - Toronto, ON
    3/24/2020 - Hamilton, ON

I got an email from the Chris Cornell newsletter, saying that there will be another pre-sale, also starting on Monday at 12:00 Local Time and the password is:

    MYWAVE

I think for this pre-sale, it is on Ticketmaster/Live Nation. Good for those who feels uncomfortable with the nin.com member pre-sale and/or want to buy more than two tickets (I think).
  • I just realize that Death Grips will not open at the Tinley Park, IL show on July 24 and the Toronto show on July 27. I remember that Death Grips will play at a festival in Toronto about a week before NIN and Soundgarden come to town.

Just got that e-mail too. Will there be any difference in the tickets that are available for NIN fans versus Soundgarden? Soundgarden pre-sale is through Live Nation, NIN is through their site.

I'm not really familiar with them. I'm gonna have to give them a listen

Two headliners and a support act. Is Soundgarden only going to play Superunknown the whole tour?

Likely and also for that Soundgarden pre-sale, I believe that in addition to WILL CALL, you will have other delivery options. Death Grips may be a polarizing group as they are a industrial hip hop group.

It wasn't even mentioned on their website if they will do that or not. On Chris Cornell's website, it mentions the tour, but not whether Soundgarden will play Superunknown or not.

99.9% chance that does not happen. The Itunes thing was just a one off.

How about SG plays Superunknown, and NIN plays Downward Spiral, since both are 20 this year? I wouldn't hate it

Excited for the tour, sucks the DC shows is at Jiffy Lube, AKA the worst venue in the eastern half of North America.

it still available on iTunes . It was one of the main features on the main site this morning. All you have to do is have an iTunes account, cause it will ask you to sign in to your account.

May have been a one off, but they'll probably get an hour twenty to play. Which was the length of their set at iTunes.

Saw NIN last October and the show was amazing. Probably won't see them again so soon, but will be a great double-headliner tour for sure!

Will be curious how they work the stage because NIN have an insane stage setup

Yea. I was totally excited when it seemed like they might play Merriweather, but fuck. Jiffy Lube Live. There is absolutely no way in hell I would consider seeing a show there.

Merriweather would have been great, but the last Bristow PJ show wasn't nearly as bad an experience as previous times. Usually the traffic and parking are a nightmare, but it wasn't that bad in 2010.

Not so sure that they are going to have short sets. I'm just looking at the pre-sale information for the NIN fanclub, and the doors for many of the shows open at 6:00, 5:15 for the DTE Energy show that I'll be going to. That is really early, even with 3 acts. Usually the gates don't open until 7:00. The curfew there is 11:00, so depending on how early Death Grips starts, SG and NIN could have a couple of hours each.

Who knows? In my case for the Toronto show, Death Grips won't be performing and I don't know if it will just be NIN and Soundgarden or if they will get a different opening act. Also, doors open at 6:00 PM and show starts at 7:00 PM with curfew at 11:00 PM. When I saw NIN with Jane's Addiction, opening act Street Sweeper Social Club started at 7:00 PM and ended at 7:30 PM. Then, NIN took the stage at 7:45 PM and ended at 9:15 PM and Jane's started at 9:30 PM and ended at 11:00 PM. Even though I didn't enjoy Jane's as much as I was hoping for, I did believe it was one of the better co-headlining tours because both bands played for 90 minutes each. Even Kiss and Motley Crue played only 80 minutes or less (from what I heard).

Well, I bit the bullet against my better judgement, and bought fan club tickets through the Soundgarden pre-sale. The part I don't like is that I have to pick up at will-call and go right into the event. I really considered waiting for the citicard or facebook pre-sales, or the public sale to get tickets that I could actually sell if I am not able to attend, but I couldn't get myself to say no when there were decent tickets in my cart. So looks like I'll either be there, or eat the cost now!

  • I was not lucky this time. What is really weird is that the 100L is actually reserved seating and not General Admission...
  • I was lucky enough to pull 203 in Toronto on the nin.com sale. I was going for 4 tickets though so I knew options would not be as good as if I was just grabbing a pair. glad I got them. The ticketmaster sale was giving me nothing at all.

UGH! I missed the start of the presale by an hour and didn't get tickets. :'( I tried both the Soundgarden and NIN links (NIN via their website, Soundgarden via Livenation presale code and I came up with squat. WAAAAAAAAh :'(

I've gotta give this one a miss: I'm having surgery in late June and won't be able to fly till mid-August and the nearest venue from Calgary's a sixteen-hour drive each way. I like NIN; I freaking love Soundgarden. But Soundgarden without Matt just isn't Soundgarden as far as I'm concerned. I'll be very curious to hear how they sound with Matt Chamerlain playing instead.

Good luck with the presale, everyone!

I tried on SG's password. Didnt really get anything. Not enough to justify the price and trip to Toronto for a Sunday show. Should have gone NIN

I was unlucky with the pre-sale and I will likely sit this one out. I saw both bands last year and just don't feel like seeing two bands without a new album to promote. Matt Cameron sitting out is not the reason why I'm not seeing them. I guess I'll save my money and use it for another show (hopefully Pearl Jam will come to Toronto this year).
