So stoked for this! First time in Europe, first time outside of the US

I was in your shoes 2 years ago... You're in for a ride, great life changing experience.

Afterwards, my 2 regrets and I predict they will be yours as well......
    1) Being mad at yourself for not doing it sooner
    2) Should have stayed longer, coupled with, wanting to go back a week after you get home

One more prediction for first visits : You will figure out all the trams, metro, trains, streets just about the time you're ready to leave...which sucks and...see #2

I bring Vermont maple syrup and Heinz ketchup when I'm in town. The vms for the pancakes and the heinz for the fries sold on the street all over the place. Mayo is yuckyy!

You're starting to look and act like a real Dutchie, taking your own food with you when on holiday. Just a FYI, but we also have Heinz Tomato Ketchup in the Netherlands (which you can ask for if you don't want mayo on your fries). And while not the Vermont maple variant, pancakes probably come with syrup.

    :p

Most have like 15 kinds of sauces. see pic..... regular ketchup... but why?... try the Fritessaus (more like a mix of miracle whip and mayo... a little sweet..., but when in Holland ;) )

What place is this? I'm gonna check it out when I'm there
Don't worry they're not hard to find, lots of Frite Stands... That particular one is near Westerpark, which is a little ways from the center.

    Weed flavor? haha image

Did anyone already get an information mail about the Tenclub-Tickets?
    (I'm just a little bit paranoid... ;))

Would anyone be able to send/give me 10c ticket stubs after both shows? Had to go through a third party to get tickets.(needed 3 non GA) Would do something for you in return. Cheers. 8->

What's it like watching Pearl Jam from a seat?

I'm still looking for a ticket for night two. Been thinking GA would be best, but I don't really want to stand in line all day.

I've got TC GA for night one, so maybe I get really stoned and enjoy the second night from afar? Just concerned I'll feel a bit disconnected from the energy.

    It can be mixed:

Last time in Europe (2012) I had seats on Stone's side in Amsterdam, about 10 meters in front of the stage. We were in the 2nd row from front of the lower tier. Everyone around us was standing at their seats anyway and it was a great experience, great sound too. The view down onto the stage was perfect.

Then in Berlin (O2 World), we had seats way at the back of the floor, about 20 rows from the front of the tier. This wasn't ideal at all. The venue in Berlin was huge, and it seemed like I could build a small city in the distance between my seats and the stage. The sound wasn't good from this position, nor was the atmosphere around us.

I vowed 'never again' with regards to seating after Berlin, but I'm sure if I didn't get 10c standing for this forthcoming tour I would have been happy just to get any ticket.

So, my first time seeing PJ in Europe though I am Dutch Canadian and lived and played hockey in the Netherlands for many years. That's besides the point, but I am really excited to see the crowds in Amsterdam as I hear European crowds rock. Many shows I saw from other bands at the Melkweg and Paradiso were great.
The Ten Club email says early entry. I am never one to wait for hours just to get first or second row. I understand why people do, but since I won the first row lottery once and I like to have a few beers before the show I'll be passing on waiting.
    A few questions though:
    1) at Zigoo Dome is there a security barrier in the middle of the floor that seperates the floor into two sections? If so, is there a bar for each section? This will determine if I pre party at a bar in the centre or just get to the dome and have a few there.
    2) is there a bar get together the day of the show?
    3) Anyone staying at the Movenpick hotel?

I can help you with your last two questions, but regarding that first one, yes there will be a security barrier in the middle of the floor at the Ziggo Dome. There isn't a bar for each section. If you're in the front section (which you will be with the 10C wristband) you can leave the section to go to the bar and show your wristband to enter the section again.

I might be missing something here Brian, but why would you do that?!? It'd be like smuggling a Big Mac into a Michelin-star steak restaurant! :)

for ziggo dome - does anyone have their 10 club information pre show email for GA from 2012? just wondering if the language was different from this 2014 email. where as a wristband got you in this barricade area in 2012, this email in 2014 just says "early entry" and doesnt mention a barricade area.

wondering if in 2012 it specifically said "10 club gets wristbands to get in front floor area" or if was the same thing where it just said "10c get early entry" ?? will that front barricade be there making a "ga pit" for 10 clubbers on the front of the floor this year for ams 1 ?

    Another question
    Who here is dutch?
Tell me about the crowds? Will there be a markedly different crowd on june 17 since there is no ten club, and most tenclubbers didnt even find out about it until after it sold out?

I ask because i have been to other rock shows in europe where the entire reserved seating sat down the whole time, maybe they stood for the encore. I hate to be "that guy" that stands and everyone behind me sits, if you cant set the tone by standing first, you gotta respect those sitting behind you, but i dont know if i can physically sit during some songs, will be very hard!

Apologies for the european generalizations, i have been in the first few rows side stage for shows in dublin, london and paris(radiohead, u2,the who, etc) and each time was shocked that people, pretty much EVERYONE, just wanted to sit and watch like it were a play

I guess the main difference is pj fans travel way more than those other bands, but seems like a lot of people didnt know about show 2.

I'm Dutch. :) And I don't think there'll be a markedly different crowd the second night than on the first. Both nights the venue will be packed with Pearl Jam fans, including lots of Ten Clubbers. I think that many got tickets the moment the second show was put on sale. Through the general sale that is.

Are you sure you're talking about European crowds and not US one's? ;) Because my experience is exactly the opposite. Enthusiastic crowds (also in the seats) in Europe, everybody sitting down in North-America. This was for both U2 and Pearl Jam. And yes, U2 also has a hardcore fanbase that travels a lot all over the world to see shows.
