Thanks No Coder...How did your friend find out that tickets were released? Did they just go to the venue and ask or did they hear about it online?

Also, does anybody have any hotel recommendations for Perth & Brisbane?

We stayed at Riverside Hotel South Bank in Brissy for the last Ed solo tour. It was good, walking distance to QPAC and food, we got a good deal through Wot if

We were at the 2nd show early and she just went to the box office at the venue and asked if any seats were available for show 3. They didn't advertise the release of tickets, so not sure how long prior they were put on sale.

If you are looking for cheaper option, Brisbane Backpackers is at West End and only a 5-10 minute walk away. I stayed their a few years ago for a night and it was clean and tidy. You can get a double room for around $90- a lot cheaper if you have 4 or more.

you will probably want to stay in Perth city, not a surrounding suburb. We have terrible public transport so if you are out of the city you will spend a fortune on taxi's

That's good to know about how your friend got tickets. I'll be at the 1st Sydney show too, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask at the ticket office, because I'd still love to get a ticket for the 2nd Sydney show.

With accommodation I've been reading reviews and looking at places within a short walking distance. It is a bit hard to judge from reviews, but I have been looking at Rydges on South Bank. Then last night I read about Oaks Casino Towers. Those places charge roughly between $220-$270 a night, so I guess I'm looking for something around that price, I haven't got an exact budget, but I don't want to spend $300+ a night, because it isn't worth it to me for a hotel!

The last time I travelled overseas, in some cities I rented private apartments on airbnb and it was great, I really preferred it over hotels, but there aren't many options on airbnb for Brisbane & Perth.

I know friends have styled at Rydges and liked it. Have not heard anything about Oaks. Even if you get something in the city, as long as it's in CBD it will only be a 10-15 minute walk.
I'm not sure what will be happening before hand, but last shows in 2011, a fair few people met up at the Fox, which is a pub across the road. There are plenty of options around there though.

Thanks No Coder :), that's good to hear that your friends liked Rydges.

I emailed Oaks asking about what they charge to use the internet in the apartments and they replied back saying that they do charge, but didn't tell me what the cost was. So that was helpful! ;)

If they charge it will be about 25 bucks a day or something primitive like that.

Just paid $550 for 2 tickets to Brisbane on Tuesday. What a joke. None of my friends will give me more than face value for the spare ticket which means I just paid $400 for my ticket. Sure it will be worth it but geez that is expensive. To the people looking for accommodation in Brisbane if you need you can pitch a tent in my backyard or I would recommend somewhere in Southbank. It's really nice down there and very close to qpac.
Another man moved by sleight of hand.

If by some miracle someone has a spare ticket/ tickets for 22nd or 23rd Brisbane show please PM me.
QPAC was a complete disaster & Ebay's prices are absolutely rediculus.
You couldn't love Eddie more than me (in present company that would be difficult to prove, I know) PJ & Ed's music have been with me for the past 15 years...through the hardest of times their music has meant everything to me.
Please, hoping & praying....

I've been keeping an eye on gumtree for a Sydney ticket and I saw that somebody has listed 4 x face-value tickets for the Perth show on Feb 7th.

I have no idea if it is genuine, but thought I'd mention it here because it was good to see somebody listing tickets for face-value, instead of double/triple the price!

Ok guys I was lucky enough to draw 2 tickets to Ed's first Brisbane Show (Feb 22) and was hoping to be able to fly my son up from Melbourne to see it. Unfortunately he won't be able to make it, so I have a spare ticket which I would love to see a fellow Ten Club member enjoy. All I'm looking for is replacement cost. You can email me at jammo47@hotmail.com and we can organise details etc. First come first served I guess. dimitrispearljam is splitting hairs and missing the point imho.

If indeed Eddie could sell out 20 shows then where's the harm in caring for the fan-club (many VERY long serving) members first. It just makes me sick that many of the Faithful will not get to see him this trip.

"PJ fan club not Ed's" ....come on. Eddie of old would never have stood for this shit. If he could sell out 3 shows in a city to just fan club members he'd be, caring for those that have coined up and showed support at 10C, made the faithful happy, earnt his due income, stamped out scalpers and perhaps encouraged non members to sign up.

The only reason I can think of it happening this way, ie: Decade+ 10C members NOT GETTING A SINGLE TICKET is business arrangements that are clearly flawed for fans and or complete ignorance (most likely non malicious) on the artists part that perhaps we the members should think about FUCKING HIGHLIGHTING to 10C in the hope Ed gets word.

All very well said. I was one of the 10 plus year members who posted earlier. I did not want it to sound like sour grapes but some must have seen it this way. A few enjoy kicking people when they are down I guess. Good news is I eventually scored a ticket to the Wednesday show in Melbourne with my girl down the back of the room. The main thing is we are going which we are both so stocked about. I will also be the one lingering out front night one to see if someone can score me a poster ;)...Well my girl will be as I am too chicken to ask anyone those sorts of favours  She must love me to put up with these obsessive behaviours.
Im not supersticious, Im just a littlesticious.

I know what you mean...I have been searching on ebay and gumtree most days and it is disheartening to see so many scalpers selling tickets on there. When I see auctions that have the option to "make an offer" I am tempted to offer the face value of the ticket. Especially when the $300+ tickets they are selling are at the back of the venue!

I don't know what I'll do when it gets even closer to the date. It would be really disappointing to miss out on a show in Sydney. :(

Re-posting, but would love to hear if anyone happens to be unavailable to go to the 2nd Brisbane show on the 23rd and has two spare tickets. Looking to be up there for probably working for a mate at Soundwave on the 22nd. Any of the Sydney shows would be awesome as well.
