    Fantastic show, fantastic crowd. I think maybe louder than Dallas, but hard to judge as I was on the floor one night, and in the stands the next.

    Maybe preferred Dallas purely due it being my first show since PJ20, and the fist to the jaw of being reminded just how amazing they can be live.

    But OKC was just as good a performance (if not better with a "practice" show under their belt), and I think I might like the bootleg better with In Hiding, Immortality, Wash, Parting Ways, Satan's Bed, Baba, Black, etc.

    The wedding proposal was cringeworthy to me, never been a fan of doing that at a public event in front of thousands of people.

    Now for the long drive home.

He is Irish so he can get you a bottle of wine very quickly...So, when it looked like Mookie might not want us using his name we thought about changing it to ‘Daron Oshay’, which is Mookie’s real name.” The crowd doesn’t react much. Ed continues, “I thought you would like that because he was from the University of Oklahoma. Anyway on that first tour this is a song we would play.”

    awkward :lol:

    I thought it wasn't quite an awkward exchange as that, with a decent reaction once he explained that it was Mookie's real name. Still a bit more subdued than I would've expected.

    My section didn't have the kind of energy it had the night before in Dallas but that was probably due to being in 10C floor seats in Dallas and other seats for this show. Still had a blast, though, especially with the Wash opener, Supersonic and quite a few others. And my wife really wanted to hear a Baba/Yellow Ledbetter close so that was fantastic as well.

    Can't wait to see them again.

    This was only my second PJ show (the first being at the Sprint Center in KC back in 2010), but the setlist sure made this one that much more special. I thought the crowd was really into it and I didn't see too many empty seats at all. I will say there were a few people up behind us that didn't seem too interested in even seeing the show, just being annoying, but I guess there are a few of those at any event.

    I wish I would have been able to go to Dallas to catch that show the night before, but this was good enough for me. Hopefully they come around the area more often!

    Agreed. I figured more Okies would have been familiar with Mookie, but it seems they weren't. Living here in Oklahoma, I seem to have to deal with any other facts that involve OU, so I was surprised.

    Ed's comments about the Sonics, Howard Schultz and Sacramento "already fucked" + playing Supersonic: pure joy for us heartbroken Sonics fans. I love this band so much.

    Then there was this reaction from an OKC 'fan' on twitter:
    @TheLAllenCotner 14h
    Pearl jam gives a long speech about loving their city then plays Supersonic. Assholes.

    @TheLAllenCotner 13h
    The best thing about about a pearl jam concert is that you can mumble the words all night and get them right.

    @TheLAllenCotner 4h
    @HoneyPieTunes boos. Boos everywhere. It was right after a short break and the bass player came out in a Seattle jersey.

    @TheLAllenCotner 3h
    @HoneyPieTunes to be honest, the show wasn't as great as expecting. They left a lot of old hits unplayed.
    Old hits unplayed! The horror! :fp:

    Another Great show! Not sure If I enjoyed Dallas or OKC better because both were that AWESOME! I really hope it doesn't take another 10 yrs for them to come back our way.

    finally nice to hear immortality live, and in hiding! :) Other highlights: were of course, Black, sirens, and Wash to open. :mrgreen:

    not sure why people are saying this crowd was lame. I had a lot of friends at the show & even heard some of the show through one of their phones. from what I understand, the place was nuts. (as was Dallas)
    I LOVE MUSIC.

    Did anyone see who handed Ed a pair of photos near the end of Ledbetter last night? My brother and I were right in front of Mike and saw Ed approach the edge of the stage to receive the pictures, and he looked completely taken aback. He asked "are you serious" as soon as he took a good look at them. Just something that piqued my curiousity, as well that of my friends at the show.

    I was on the 3rd level and saw this taking place. I wasn't sure what got handed to him though (interesting to learn what it was). I just saw him look at it and then set it down on part of the stage.

    Yes. It was the couple with the two boys on the rail in front of Ed. Ed asked his security to get the woman to write a note explaining the connection.

    Anyone who says it was a bad crowd doesn't know what they're talking about, it was electric.

    This was #16 for me and other than Wrigley and PJ20 this May have been the best. The opening 8, played without interruption and on FIRE, is a personal highlight for me as a fan. The 2nd encore pleased both hardcores and casual fans alike. All the Thunder stuff was good-natured, anyone who was offended needs to get a life. Now, I wait for Seattle....

    So they weren't pictures then? And we're they explaining their family's connection to the band? I feel silly pressing for details since I'm not involved, but it was clear that it really impacted Eddie in a big way.

    Yeah, my boys handed him something personal..there is a connection but I'm going to leave it at that. Just something we thought he might like to have. We didn't mean any harm by it, but thought it would probably be our only chance to give it to him. It was a great show, and thank you everyone for a great experience for us as well as our kids!

    Saw both shows with my husband. I liked Dallas a little better and he preferred the OKC show. I thought both were great shows. The band came out rocking hard in Dallas and I thought their energy and that of the crowd were a little highest in Dallas, but not much. Maybe in OKC the band and half the crowd were tired from the previous late night and drive :D

    Thanks, PJ for 2 great shows and nice, complementary set lists!

    i'm pretty sure you could have found a better way to give them to him... maybe a sealed envelope to open later. that would have totally messed with my head (seeing pics of the father i didn't know) and during a show? ...just sayn

    Well, we've tried other ways before and apparently he's never received it. Like I said, we didn't mean anything by it just something we thought he should have.

    Attended both. Loved the Sonics banter in OKC and both set lists were great. How could they not be? The crowd in Dallas was outstanding. OKC had quite a few people there because it was the thing to do in town on Saturday night. Dallas, usually known for lame crowds, surprised the hell out of me.

    Tow great shows with more to come. I wish I was at every one.

    What a sad and insensitive response. I am SO sorry that your head would have been messed with if you were EV....thankfully, you aren't.

    This was my 10th PJ show and probably my favorite, with the exception of the 1998 VFC show in DC. The crowd was great and the band was just simply awesome. Eddie's connection with the audience was dead on like I'd never seen before. I attended the Dallas show as well and it was a great show as well in it's own right. For the first time in a long time I had quite a few 10C members around me and they were all just really great people, unlike the turds that sat behind me in Dallas. It seemed that their goal was to drink their weight in beer. I live in OKC and completely expected EV to make a few comments about the Thunder, I would have been disappointed if he didn't. In fact, on my way home from Dallas I told a friend of mine that I thought that PJ would do a Super Sonic themed shirt for the OKC show, and sure enough they did.

    Thank you PJ for the awesome show.
