Hmm interesting take. I didn't think of it getting a little boring after all the slow songs. I just saw the set and was blown away. Another reason why you need to be there to really judge.

The encores of CVille were what won me over while I was there. Too each their own, but that first encore in CVille was the best first encore of the tour IMHO. I was there to help judge, it wasn't boring. I would have been more bored with black, alive, and ritfw at Baltimore. Go figure. We all take different views of shows and what is our favorite parts. Either way, it was a good leg 1 for sure.

Yeah, people keep saying how the band had to work at getting the C-ville audience pumped during the second half. That's because for 25 minutes in the middle, they played lullaby music.

Had they played it in Philly no one would call it boring. Thumbing, footsteps, sleight of hand boring? I was drooling. A supermajority of people who went to this show have said it was the best of the tour and the best of their 20+ shows.

The fact that there are so many different #1 shows people have just goes to show how strong this tour is.

Having went the Balt, C'Ville, and Charlotte, this placed 3rd for me. Song selection just wasn't strong enough. If you want to tip the cap to fugazi, play your best punk type songs, which would include Comatose and Leash.

The ending was pretty ugly too, and though it was literally at the end, it left a sour feel even though it was remedied and repaired the next two shows.

This one had the crowd, but not the songs needed to elevate the show to that magic level that C'Ville got. Before the tour, I would've guessed Baltimore would get that special magic. The building was there, the band wasn't. Next time they come to the DC area, a little less thinking of Fugazi and more thinking about Pearl Jam would probably help.

Baltimore, after 23 years of loving Pearl Jam, was absolutely insanely incredible. The energy inside the arena was infectious, and I have honestly never been to a better show- anyone, anywhere. Charlottesville and Charlotte were great too, but Baltimore took the cake for me.
Wish I could do it all over again! Here's to another tour in 2014!

Wait you went to Baltimore and C-ville and think that Baltimore is better? :o

I didn't go to C-ville, but I was at both Philly's, both Brooklyn's, Bmore and Pitt. And I think that Baltimore was a damn good show but on this tour I would rank it only above Philly 2. Interesting perspective as I am curious why you think that? Because the setlist looked insane for C-ville but that's from an outsider's perspective so my opinion really doesn't hold much stock, ha.

I guess anyone can look at a set list and think DAMN!!! Honestly, I think it had a LOT to do with the crowd, and the energy in the arena... I loved all three shows, all incredible, but Baltimore just sticks out in my mind as one of the best nights of my life. And my mini tour, the best 5 days. Too much driving, and hemmoraged money, but the best 5 days ever.
My best seats were in C-ville. I was a stones throw from Stone (haha) and the three rows in front of me, the people were all sitting, for the majority of the entire show. Who does that?

This show definitely ranks in my Top 5 I've been to!! The band was energetic, the crowd was outstanding, got to hear 5 songs I've not heard in person [not counting the Lightning Bolt songs--which sound fuckin' awesome live], the birthday girl, the lucky fucker who got to get up on the stage and have the best night ever, Eddie swinging from the lamps during 'Porch', Mike doing laps around the stage during 'STBC', and the Lou Reed/Velvet Underground cover were all reasons this show kicked wholesale ASS!! But the best was that PJ had NEVER been to B'more in 23 years!! That was a big reason I chose this show, came from Michigan to see PJ, and I'd do it again--a billion outta a billion times! Excellent show... the band is like wine, they get better with age.

I was #2 in line 6:45am, I don't post here very often (usually more facebook) but I did want to comment on the crowds outside. The Ten Club fans here were so nice and (I can only speak for the first twenty or so) but everybody was so cool and laid back. I only remember one guy by name (Nixon, or Dixon) from Michigan. We had a nice five min talk or so, the people behind us had the 21 year old girl who wined with Eddie... But the joking around all day and watching your spot while you stretched your legs made it so enjoyable.
So I just wanted to thank the fans, couldn't have had a better time outside,

The band was good as well I guess.. :)

Anyone know where to find an audience recording? This is the only one from the tour I haven't been able to find, and if I read PJ's bootleg statement correctly, we won't see the official boot til February?

I second that. I've looked everywhere that I know to look... and nothing. A link would be greatly appreciated, though I will go and buy the bootleg when it's made available... great show! Really want the Velvet Underground cover to listen to... :)

Actually, since they are releasing the official bootlegs on Wednesdays by city and not by individual show, Baltimore should be available for purchase/download on January 1st... Happy New Year!

4-5 songs into this and feel like my feelings were confirmed from the night....band really tight...mike really on fire...eddie under pressure bc he is with a lot of friends, celebs, etc.

Charlottesville: band really loose...no pressure...there to send a message...amazing night

Charlotte: band tired after amazing night...how do these guys do this?...matt cameron on fire (always is but displays best stamina)...professionals

curious if i feel the same about the next two boots. 3 completely authentic and different shows....amazing

it is just so awesome to be able to relive this stuff....these guys are the best at pretty much every level

oh and one more thing....at the show i felt like the crowd didn't realize the greatness of what they saw bc of minimal applause of what were some serious badass solos...for example, my god is that the best habit ever? the ending is something really really special..well, the whole thing is but the end made me write this

Not the best Habit ever (try Merriweather Post 2000) but IMO the best sounding song of the night...peak buzz and peak performance...

To follow up on some of the other posts, during the show I knew the songs were special while there that night. After reviewing the setlist and the rarity of the songs chosen, then hearing it again on XM PJ radio, my thoughts were totally confirmed. Hard To Imagine was such a surprise as well as Habit. Closing out the first set with what I thought was a very powerful RVM. Encores were equally as strong. All around a standout show!!

When Yellow Shirt Guy finally made it to the stage, the reaction from the crowd had me grinning ear to ear all over again. Dream rock n roll moment for that guy. That was just a great day...great pre-party and killer show and the boot is in heavy rotation.
