Amazing show! Crowd energy was really great. Seemed to be just what the band needed. Getting Hard to Imagine as a secondary opener had been my hope. So glad it finally happened this tour. The covers were especially special tonught. Very cool to see SamJam get her first legal drink from Ed! And the guy in the yellow shirt was awesome. Ed seemed to really enjoy that. I was back of the floor but was able to look up the inner aisle so I had a good view of the stage. Show was awesome but the highlight was meeting Ed after the show and getting a guitar pick. now I have to figure out what to do with myself until San Diego :?

(Ed talks about how fortunate they have been to know so many great musicians, from street musicians to bands we looked up to. Know matter how prepared you are for something like this, because we are all gonna go someday.” “We will always have his music and our kids will have his music. He was a game changer. We want to dedicate this to Lou and his sweet, sweet wife Laurie.” {Heavily Paraphrased}
21. Man Of The Hour (Dedicated to Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson)
22. Nothingman
23. Waiting For The Man-(Reed)
Lou Reed tributes were definitely the highlight for me. The news of his passing had in a daze.

Great show. I was worried that the crowd wasn't ever going to pick up (thought it was going to be another Newark night). The whole Lou Reed thing put a damper on the night, a bit, for me at least. Covering Waiting for the Man was awesome. Got in and out of the city easy (key is to NOT park in garages).
Getting accosted before the show was different, haven't had that with security since 9/11.
Hope everyone had a great time!
wish I knew the no garage thing 24 hours ago. 45 minutes of not even being able to back out. Love how it is RIGHT off 95 though.

Ed is such a cutie, dancing like he was boxing, swinging from the light, inviting that guy on the stage, giving samjam(?) wine for her first drink. Ahhh....
That was Sam?! Awesome!!! Didn't realize!

Yeah I bunkered down in the Holiday Inn parking lot. $25 for parking, not sure what the garage was. I was stuck in a garage a few years back and it took forever to get out. Keep that in your pocket for later shows smack dab in the city.
The Lou Reed material have me new stuff. Great venue that's smaller than the Spectrum but doesn't stack up as well as Philly 1 or Brooklyn 2. A blast as always though.
agree 100%. great show...great energy but Philly 1 and Brooklyn 2 are in a league of their own. gonna be hard to top either one of those!
where are all the videos from this show? so many people staring into their cell phones during the show, and all we have is the link to mfc172's videos... looking for a wide shot of the venue...
37 PJ Shows, 3 EV Shows, 1134 Total Songs, 24 Different Openers, 9 Different Closers, 252 Unique Songs (never enough)
This was an awesome show. In 22 shows now for me, this one cracks the top 5.
207 Row B. Great seats. Crowd somewhat lame around me. Folks next to me were great though. Folks on the other side left after the main set. People were trying to sit a lot. Crowd overall in the building started very weak, and grew quite a bit through the show.
If you are a fan of the hard rockers, this one's for you. 2 of my favorites, moderate rarities both played: Habit and Blood. Also add in STBC, Lukin, and Once... along with the double-down of RVM and Porch (been doing that a lot this tour). Also hammered staples such as DTE, Mind Your Manners, Cordoroy, Lightning Bolt, Alive, RITFW, etc.
Loved Present Tense and Hard to Imagine. Again, the new material brought it.
My one complaint is that I did not enjoy Habit being followed by Daughter and Wishlist (probably my 2 least favorite PJ tunes).
Watched a great deal of Jeff and Mike and really diverted my attention from EV more than ever. I LOVE the video screens. They focus in on the fretting of Mike and it adds immeasurably to the experience. Love the crowd shots too when you see people reacting to the music in their own ways.
Yellow shirt guy. I am insanely jealous. Gotta say, you did awesome. Usually that would annoy me, but you played the part absolutely perfectly. Nice job.
I did notice the sleight of Jeff and the strange comment about 2 drummers. I didn't notice the storm-off, but my friend did. It did seem a bit strange/hustled when they left.
Couldnt believe how much Ed was sweating. It was hot in there... cool arena.
Also, you havent lived until you have waited for public transportation in Downtown Baltimore at 4:30AM with your only weapons being a PJ20 backpack and a poster tube.
Number 21 for me and this was up there. I really enjoyed the energy of the small building. Coming off the Philly show and the "big new arena" it felt like we were back in the spectrum (though awkwardly rectangular-ish). I had pretty mediocre expectations--and I think they did too, but we were both, as it turned out, blown away by the reaction of a city they had never played. The fellas really seemed to feed off of that energy. I think Baltimore put themselves on the map last night (hopefully). Loved the dude in the yellow shirt--what a cool moment. Hated the parking garage. Was bummed to see an idiot be dragged out as the yellow shirt guy was making his way past us on his way to the stage. 10c tix on the floor. Weren't awful, but not as good as I imagine the sides would have been.
SO SO fortunate to be at this show in my hometown! As soon as I walked into 1st Mariner, the sea of PJ shirts combined with Oriole's caps made me insanely happy. I just knew this was a special show and they certainly did not disappoint! Sadly didn't get a Baltimore sticker even though I walked up to the table at 6:30 (missed out on the Brooklyn II sticker also but I blame myself for taking way to long go to look).
Pendulum gives me goosebumps every time... so haunting and beautiful! Loved Setting Forth. The Lou Reed tribute's were great, especially Waiting For The Man... was so happy to hear Man Of The Hour- one of my very favs! Had been wanting to hear the Reign O're Me cover for awhile so I'm glad they did that.
A lot of stuff I heard at Brooklyn II (Blood- gahhh, freaking insane!, Unthought Known- sung correctly this time haha, Given to Fly- always want to hear this since it's my most clear first live PJ memory, etc.) but I could hear them everyday and not mind a bit. Spin The Black Circle, Do The Evolution, and Rearviewmirror were a blast to rock out to.
I won tickets and got the impression most of the people around me did as well (section 105), as the energy was a little lacking- especially during the lesser-knowns. I had a guy in next to me/in front of me who I guess just came to call his entire phone book every time they played a track off Ten. That was a little obnoxious. He also sat a lot during upbeat songs AND during RITFW- whaaaaaat?! I also had a "Pearl Jam Interpretive Dancer" behind me but he was a blast to watch- very into the show in his own way.
Still shocked that they played our dumpy little arena but they tore the roof off! Missed Jeff's exit but did note to my friend (a live PJ virgin) that it was a little bizarre that they didn't do a bow... waited until the stage crew came out to leave because I didn't really think it was over. Going to be reliving this night in my head for a while! Sad that my tour run is officially over for now!
As always, THANK YOU PEARL JAM!!!

Only my second show and it moves to #1. The entire top of my right palm is bruised from clapping so much with my wedding ring on.
Like everyone has said the guy in the yellow I Corn Iowa shirt is the luckiest fucker on the planet. I don't think he wanted to let go of Eddie. Wish he would have told Eddie to mention Jeff's name.
Not hearing Eddie mention Jeff left a small sour note on an awesome night. At least I didn't have to see how bad the Redskins got destroyed until after the show.
Wish I was able to take off work to go to Charlottesville and Charlotte.

Used my small camera, here is the Lou Reed cover in it's entirety:
Probably my least favorite of my 7 shows. I didn't like the arena at all and the crowd around me kind of sucked. The set list was okay, but seeing Down, Glorified G, and Jeremy (3 of my favorite PJ songs ever) crossed off made me realize that this could have easily been in my top 3 shows if those songs were left on. :(

Substitute Daughter and Wishlist for Down and Glorified G
Decent show. Not great. Wanted more like In My Tree than Habit or PT. We've heard enough of those, not enough In My Tree. Maybe the Lou Reed cloud was a bit heavier than it seemed, myself not having realized he died till during the show since we were in a car all day. And the ending with Jeff simply wasn't good.
Eddie did intros, stopped short of saying Matt was the best drummer in the world because the Fugazi guy was there, then went off long on a tangent and forgot to introduce his own bass player. That seemed to stick.
They also seemed a bit confused as to whether to start at 8 or 8:30, whether they could play till 11 or 11:30. Hopefully they're clear for the next two shows and repeat very few of what they played Sunday, as usual.

wow, cool. where did you meet him?
Right outside of the venue. We had gone back to the Pratt Street Ale House and were walking back past the venue when he came out. He made a point of going around to everyone that was there, shaking their hands and talking a little. Security was very strict on no pictures or autographs. They made us put our phones away, but then Eddie came back around and gave us some guitar picks. The shows have all been awesome, but this made my night
"I need your strength for me to be strong...I need your love to feel loved"
I just want to thank the band for playing the intimate confines of the Baltimore Arena... They tore the place up! I've been a fan since '91 and this was my first live show... It's not for lack of wanting (I clocked 103 Grateful Dead shows) but the timing never worked out... I gave my 10c tix to my daughter and her boyfriend (Floor sec 6) and I got a single in 208 (Row J, seat 11, on the aisle)... The show was awesome and so was the energy of the crowd around me... It was totally worth the 23 year wait for the boys to come to Charm City... next stop for me is Dallas next month... if they can come close to topping this show, I will be a happy old man :-)
