Back to reality fucking sucks. I feel like for the past 3 years I’ve planned my whole year around seeing this band, and now with no plan in sight I’ve been a bit down the past few days. Looked into Ohana like a drug addict and can’t justify the last minute cost.
From a business perspective, the band should profit off of our depression by releasing 2025 dates soon…but we all know PJ is the last to announce.
    See you at Ohana!!

My advice for post tour depression  this year  is.... GO. TO. OHANA. Lots of 3 day bracelets available at a discounted rate!!

All other times.... Talk to your PJ friends about how it sucks to not be on tour any more. 🤕

Aaaand lastly... make sure you go to no less than 7 shows on a tour. Makes the goodbye easier... as you *may* feel like you've met your minimal emotional quota...  Or figure out what your own number is...  is likely a better idea. Feel better, people!!!

I wish. I was starting to feel it last night while saying goodbye to everyone. I was busy traveling today but tomorrow it’s going to come crashing down like a wave. I’m going to do a few framing projects I have been putting off to help.

This sucks...after the Indy/Wrigley run I had Ohana to look forward to and now that's done. I guess I'll have to be more productive at work.

Next year will be the band's 35th birthday.  And I'm predicting / hoping for some special PJ35 shows to celebrate with them.  In my dream, I imagine PJ35 shows at The Gorge, Philly, Redrocks, and Hyde Park.  This dream will keep my spirits high as we await and look forward to 2025 show announcements.
  • Sunday was actually closure for me. Knowing I can’t make it to Oz, but knew Cali was a short flight away…I’m at ease. The show wasn’t epic nor was it a dud, happy to have spent my only Sunday off for the next 2 months on that grass. Stone dancing and yelling cowabunga twice might have been the best thing I’ve ever seen. Highly disappointed Setting Sun didn’t close or get played as it was a lot of the reason I wanted to go. Had a great day yesterday. In the morning I walked Blacks Beach up to flat rock and chilled in the cloudy weather with wet shoes. Then drove to Maderas to shoot one of my best golf rounds ever. Played by myself, no one around me. Stopped at Kikos food truck for tacos, got one last peak of the Pacific Ocean, and then flight home. I slept 10 hours today and missed my morning meeting…don’t think I’ve slept that long in years.
I have a lot of life decisions to make..need to hit the reset button yet again…need to start a new chapter….and I’m just glad this 36 hour trip, most of it on that walk to flat rock, gave me some of those answers.

Or even just regular depression.  That Ohana Fest was really special, and looking forward to seeing Pearl Jam again in 2025.  Their music is healing, and their live performances are amazing.
