FT: Wrigley Mural Print

Hey Guys,
My buddy scored one of these prints today from the Dabs Myla sales. Obviously he has not recieved it yet but he has gotten email confirmation of the sale. He is interested in trading this print for a Donkey Kong A/P print from the MSG 2010 show. Please contact me if you are interested in the trade. This is my trade and this is the only poster my buddy wants and is interested in so please do not PM me with any other trade or cash offers. It is either the Donkey Kong A/P or no trade. I'm going to mind my own business with regards to the actual trade, but I will say that your "buddy" should really wait until he/she has something in hand before actually offering up for trade. Shit happens, like sometimes the poster comes damaged and sometimes it is oversold.

My cousin's brother's uncle said that he may or may not have scored one of these prints. So, if you do or don't want one just let him know and he will or will not formulate a trade for it. LOL ! ! !

Give it to me for the $109 your friend paid plus I will pay shipping for your friend to send it out when it arrives and I will throw in 2 free PJ guitar picks (one for you and one for your friend) in the spirit of good PJ Karma and then I will turn and make someone very very happy with this poster who missed out on it and is heart broken.

I appreciate all the feedback here but please if you are not looking to make this trade look elsewhere. I'm sorry that those of you that missed out on this sale are upset because you didn't get this print and don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for it on the secondary market. But my friend was unlucky enough to have missed the DK sale from Ames in 2010 and also doesn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for something on the open market. So instead he wants to trade it. I apologize to those that think this is flipping. Even though in reality not a dime is changing hands.

And just remember folks you're going crazy over a piece of paper. Try and focus your energy and frustration on more important things.

I'll chime... I dealt with this guy once. Complained and said a poster I sent him wasn't "mint". It was exactly as I received it. Never even looked at it to be honest, but I gave him $20 back just to shut him up. Wish I didn't now.

Well here is what I say! I'm kind of okay with people buying something limited to trade it. Two people end up with things that they really want.

So I kinda disagree with most of the posts here... But maybe I'm missing something..

I love the fact that you can look on these forums for stuff that you really want but don't have.

I extremely hate the fact that people but stuff to sell it at a premium but I'm okay with trade.

I think this is tricky. I think everyone is in agreement buying something limited to sell on eBay at a premium is uncool and sucks. Flippers not good, pretty much universal agreement. If someone were to post the Wrigley Mural for $300 this week that would be lame. (Although a year from now it would probably be fine, people sell the PJ20 prints all the time here for a premium now and no one, myself included, takes issue).

Trades I don't think are so cut and dry though. I got a mural today, I'm stoked about it, I'm likely to frame it and put it on my wall. But there are things I want more than the mural and if I saw someone looking for the mural that had one of those items instead I'd consider it. Seems like a win-win and a lot different than throwing it up on eBay for triple the cost.

As far as the OP's post goes I think it's within the realm of possibility that there's someone who went to Wrigley and really wants the mural who maybe owns a Kong but didn't got to that show. For that person having a limited poster to an amazing show they were at may be better than having a rare poster to a show they didn't go to. It could be a fair trade depending on the individuals.

For me I would never trade a Kong for the Mural, but then I love Donkey Kong and Pearl Jam. I just don't think it's flipping for the OP to put it out there and see if someone wants to do the trade, maybe someone does. I wouldn't,but just because someone is seeing if there's a trade out there that I wouldn't do I don't know if that makes it flipping. I'd take way more issue if the post said Mural for $400 or something like that. My 2 cents.
