A little coffee shop in an undeveloped surf spot near Tofino before my first paddle thrashing. Does the undeveloped part count as odd, then?

The counter help girl lent me her perfectly sized booties, cold water hood, and gear that we poured boiling water into before joining the sea. The previous day, these two guys showed up at my little sister's house and said "Hey we were surfing today!! And we're going tomorrow".

So I stuck out my hand, said "Hi, I'm Spunkie, and I'm going with you!"

I could swear he's trying to talk to me

Not that odd, but in 2003 I stayed in a hostel in Quebec City. When I was at the check-in desk they were blasting PJ and I knew I was in a good place.

By my request, one of the nurses played "Ukulele Songs" when I had a stent put in a couple of weeks ago. She asked if I wanted to listen to music, and I figured that would be a calm and relaxing choice for all involved lol.
May your days be long, til kingdom come.

During the dinner portion of a wedding, when very mellow or like jazz music would normally play. DJ played Parachutes (which is mellow obviously). I shot my head up and was like “no way, this guy is awesome”.

We went to one of those school information days today in Western Sydney to check out a potential high school option for our son. They had the usual displays of student art and science experiments in the classrooms, but when we got to the music hall there were four Year 12 kids (around 17 or 18 years old) performing. Two of them were playing the usual school-issue acoustic guitars, and the other two were singing.

They were playing Hunger Strike, and I’ve gotta say they were absolutely nailing it!

It was so cool to see them, even if the crowds of parents were mostly just talking as they went wandering past. The coolest part was that my son recognised the song before I did!
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)
