I was at Splish Splash (a water park on Long Island, New York) and there's got to be a PJ fan running the music. Every time I'm there, I hear at least one, if not a few PJ songs on their PA. Now let me get something straight. They don't play the usual Alive, or Even Flow, or any other commonly heard song. I hear Yellow Ledbetter, Small Town, and more importantly....I hear boots! Yesterday I heard the SLOW Cordoroy on the PA. I was freakin out on line for Max Trax!
WHAT!? Haha slow Cordoroy at the Splish Splash..that is pretty funny. I can imagine the faces on people there like "what the F is this..."
Btw they should play slow Cordoroy from time to time.
Took a trip to Thailand in late 2006, early 2007 and visited an island off the west coast called Koh Phi Phi. There were a lot of little mom and pop beach "resorts" on the island and there was an evening where one of these little beach resorts/bars was blasting nothing but PJ all night long. It was pretty awesome.
Probably me. I do that a lot when I am travleing. Did that in Krabi.....notin Koh Phi Phi.
I had a bar in Taipei play some PJ the other day. I guess they found PJ Radio because it was nothing but live PJ the rest of the night. I loved it, but nobody else knew what the hell was goin on.
I think this is not so much a strange place as a strange moment. I went to New Zealand and Australia in Jan 2014 and attended 4/6 BDO shows 5 week trip, longest I'd ever been away from home. When I landed back home in JFK as I'm waiting by the baggage claim exit for my ride to pull up Alive was playing on the radio. That was just the weirdest thing to me.
The radio station at work cause they mostly dont play music, well there are sounds coming out but it isn't music!

When Last Kiss was popular I was going up the escalator in Sears with my Mom and she said "oh I like that guys voice and how he does that song" I didn't want to get into it with her at her favourite store.
Not For You in a Banana Republic a couple months ago.... yeah, very strange...

*Sigh* It bugs me that they've been licensing their songs for TV shows for a number of years now, starting with that goddamn "Friends" finale.
Not a Pearl Jam song, but I heard Eddie Vedder's "Rise" from Into The Wild in the children's section of Indigo a few months ago. They were playing different music elsewhere in the store.

My mom said she heard a PJ song during one of those network tv shows. Maybe castle?

Castle did Unthought Known, Just Breathe and The End.
The dining hall at my college, probably. Was a nice surprise.

I have 2. The hotel Monaco lobby twice mixed in with the standard lobby music . It was Daughter , during a Seahawks weekend . My wife's uncle Dougs cd in the car . Whe is very religious and judgement so I don't how or why but he was listing to The End from Backspacer . I was hopeful it was a sign but no shuch luck .
Being prepped for surgery. There was a radio in the OR. I guess for the doctor when he was performing surgery. Nothingman came on right before I went out.
Not a PJ song really but i was in Gibraltar a couple of months back after my submarine had docked there for a week, walking down the main street and i heard a busker doing a brilliant version of Last Kiss!
